NICE!!!! The North of Spain has great landscapes, and Septiember it's a good season to visit... Well done!! I'm looking for a 690 to do the same... Some day!!!
Hi, great video. I’m doing it in two months time. Did you find it easy to find campsites as there doesn’t appear to be many on Google maps on the route. Thanks.
Most campsites we stayed at were off the TET route so it was a case of seeing how well the day was going and we were all feeling along with campsites we used Airbnb. These we could usually find very close to the track and between 3 of us they worked out as cheap as the camping. I think we tried to be as flexible as possible regarding accommodation. Hope this is of some help and you have a brilliant trip 🤘🏻
Yes, there are the occasional tough'ish sections but they are short and almost always have an alternative route most are easily ridable even on a large adventure bike. There are many legal off-road tracks off the TET route and this part of Spain was stunning. The end of August will be very warm 🥵 be prepared and enjoy you'll love this area
@@gnarlybadger690 Thanks a lot for the great feedback! I know it's going to be super hot but I don't have much choice 🫠 haha.. after Compostela im going down Portugal and then I'll be in Morocco in September, when it cools off a bit 🙌 cheers!!

Great video Peter. I am doing a similar trip in May 2023 and really looking forward to it. Can you tell me how many miles approximately you were doing in a day. We have 6 full days of riding and I am wondering how much of that loop we could complete in that time. And if we do have to miss any was there any sections not worth riding or anything we should definitely be doing. Any advice much appreciated. Cheers
We didn't have a distance to cover each day we just rode for as long as we felt like on the day. One day I think we only covered 80 miles another we covered over 200 sometimes the route dictated the distance
@@gnarlybadger690 thanks for the reply. Yes I get that. Did the Portugal TET a few years ago and some days we hardly covered any distance due the technical terrain. Great fun though.
@@ianbarriscale1632 I think it maybe possible to do the loop in the six days you have as we had a couple of rest stops and went off without all the luggage and rode some local trails. We rode it in a clockwise direction and the northern part of the route was fantastic as it was into the Picos. The later part of the southern trail had a lot of open gravel roads so you can make up time here I hope you enjoy it as much as we did
On the rear it was a MotoZ hybrid extreme a great trail tyre with good mileage on the front I used a Michelin Enduro in a hard compound great grip and wear rate
Thank you for sharing your video, thoroughly enjoyable. I’ve already done the TET east to the Pyrenees. This year I plan going west. I was intending to just complete the loop around the Picos going and going just a far as Ponferrada. At 5.32 in your video after passing Villafranca del Bierzo / Ponferrada are you still heading west as this trail look amazing and unmissable. Can you share the location of that hill climb.

The TET route as a high percentage of track/off-road possibly 75/25 with a few tougher sections which were tricky on the 690 many bolder sections which would be a little more tricky in an anticlockwise route we went clockwise going that way we were on the trails within 5 miles of leaving the ferry.
