Did many parts of the TET in Spain on a 640Adventure. Great ridning I'm sure you both enjoyed it!

Most of the vid was shot in Aragon, wasn't it? Not many people know about that region, but it has SO MANY trails to follow and not just the TET. I tried to follow a trail from Barcelona to Zaragoza following 85% trails and 15% tarmac. I ride a AfricaTwin 2017 dct and I had problems to climb up some hills due to the big lose rocks on very tight corners. But that ride showed me that Aragon has a lot to offer, because it's the 2nd least populated regions in Spain and it's mainly gravel (except for the north which is the Pyrenees) that almost guarantees that you will always be alone. Your videos is great and I'm happy to see that I'm not the only crazy person trying to ride some trails with big bikes. At least you guys are tall, I'm a shorty (1,67cm) and normally ride solo and while I know I shouldn't do it, I really enjoy it. Looking forward to more of your videos. and happy rides on 2019.

"...and I'm happy to see that I'm not the only crazy person trying to ride some trails with big bikes"
Ive seen a few comments like this in videos and in the comment section, but surely this is exactly what they're built for? Unless im missing something? Ive been looking for something suitable for green laning around the UK first which would involve carrying camping equipment and covering large distances etc, and would love to go somewhere like this once comfortable, but im surprised to see so many comments of how these bigger bikes are not really suitable, I dont understand it? But still good to hear of a "normal" person who has done it on an AT as thats what ive got my eye on, and glad you enjoyed it

    • @darkiee69
      @darkiee69 4 ปีที่แล้ว

@@Fromatic They're ok for green laning and gravel, but some of the trails are a lot harder than that, we're talking proper enduro trails. And those big bikes aren't built for that.

Matthias de roo I did it, I bought a 1090R, had a few little plays down on the Salisbury plain and did a trip to the Isle of Man. It was a little wasted on me though and I didn’t use it off-road as much as I’d of liked, so I sold it and went back to a sports bike recently! Haha. Great memories though, maybe in future.

This is definitely on my list of things to do before I die - but not on my Multistrada.
I think an AJP PR7 would be absolutely perfect for the TET and ACT.

As a uk based biker its great to know you can do some great adventure riding on our doorstep. Without spending 10's of 1000s and having to go to Africa, Asia, S America, etc.. As well as mixing and matching the trails with road depending on what you ride.
I wasn't aware of these trails, thank you for the heads up MCN.

You are one of my absolute favorite motorcycle vloggers, Michael. This is an amazing trip through Europe. I live in the northwest of the US, in Oregon and have some beautiful and rugged country just minutes from my home. I grew up riding small dirt bikes but haven't done dirt bike riding (except mountain bikes) for decades. I'm interested in getting a KTM 790 Adventure when they come to the states, for just this type of riding. Excellent story and beautiful country. Thanks a million for showing us your sweet adventure.

Suuuuper. TET is really really awesome. We did the Section 13 of France last weekend and the big big smile about this experience is still in our face. Therefore I know exactly what your feelings were on Spanish TET part. TET Spain and the Pyrenees are on my offroad wishlist. Best regards to your brother and you and best wishes for your next TET rides around Europe. Jörg - Southwest Germany close to the French border.

Next year we did tet slovenia with friends and we plan to do parts of tet every year now. It is amazing project and I highly recommend to try it. The video sums it all up, perfect.

They are big bikes, but it was still really enjoyable. Plus we had a lot of kit to carry as we were camping. I think the perfect bike for it would be the KTM 690 or the Husqvarna 701. Or wait until the new 790 arrives. Best Michael

I didn’t know you could use chain drives to tour like that...oh, hang on, that’s Gs BS. What a great trip. Great idea to have community maps etc.
When are you going to do the entire ~30,000 km??? If you do more, give the Motoz Tractionator Adventure a go, they’re the best I’ve found for my KTM.

This is brilliant! I moved to northern Spain last year for work and am looking to do something like this! Lockdown has spurred me on!! Just one thing, and please forgive my ignorance here! My Landrover camper has hill descent and traction control, do the modern off road bikes have such features? I ask because on the video Michael talks about grip and going down hill! I have not ridden for some time!

    • @darkiee69

idk why channels like this make a 12 min video about 7 days en not like a daily vlog for everyday from the trip? what's up with that? then you get 7 videos of daily vlog content en you can do a summary in another video? More content for us viewers en more views for you en its beter for the youtube algorithme...?

Shorts answer - Not much money in TH-cam for this niche.
I doubt they have made any profit out of this. Even getting sponsors won't help them break even in this platform. Prime examples - Motor Trend, DriveTribe , Motorcyclist, EVO.
