      simple and cheap ! Cheers indeed ! Jay ( CarsRcool YT channel ) !

    I have a small body shop. I spray ppg clear. My surfaces that are flat get what looks like solvent pops all through it. How long are you waiting in between your clear coats?

    Great job.. I was wondering can you put a blurb in between coats to say how long you waited? Like "5 minutes later..." or something. Im pretty impatient and waiting is hard..So giving me a hard rule to follow would be great to learn from. Thanks!

    My autobody repair work seems to have a lot of small dust marks and very small specks. Shouldn’t the shop be painting in a clean painting area? I’m kinda upset. Should I ask them to reshoot or do a wet sanding repair instead?

    • @speedokoterefinishnetwork4937
      @speedokoterefinishnetwork4937  ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on how reputable the shop is, how much you paid, ect ect... The only way your getting a 100% dust free finish is if your paying 500+ per panel. Around my way it's about 800 to get a panel sprayed

    • @axelf911
      @axelf911 ปีที่แล้ว

      My job was an insurance repair one. I’m assuming they charged a lot so it should be very good quality. During the inspection process they should’ve flagged some of the noticeable fish eyes and others contaminants and took action. Passing it back to the customer is very bad, thinking I wouldn’t notice.

    • @speedokoterefinishnetwork4937
      @speedokoterefinishnetwork4937  ปีที่แล้ว

      That sucks. So I get what they paid for in some sense. I’ve had flawless insurance repair paint jobs in the past. Bad luck this time. I guess I’ll bring the car back in and complain.

    FYI the solvents not only get into your body through your lungs but also the eyes. It's just as bad in the way that it can cause neurological issues in the future. Take care of your bodies, they're the only one you've got.

    I knew a guy that always sprayed his cars inside a paint booth with about 1/8th of a inch of water every time. Changed put all his filters and took all the precautions. Yes he turned out really great work but there is no 100% way to prevent 100% dust in a spray job. 😆 he woupd even take his time so he didn't kick up any of the water either. After he wet sand and polished though thw cars and trucks always had a showroom finish. Always best to just apply the layers and just wish for the best. Ig all else fails, just wet sand and polish and move on to the next one.

      This is why the Industry Uses High Flow Down draft paint booths.
      Step in a Garmat $120,000 Booth to Spray a Ferrari, Or a Rolls. Tell me if the Owner would want the surface of the paint job Broken and buffed on.
      I paint in a dusty shop, I Blow my shop out before I bring the vehicle back in, I wet the floor, and the hose remains off to one side, I wet walls and the door, Fan in the back wall with Filters Blowing into the shop, Across the vehicle, This creates positive pressure.
