Who is asking for these games? Indie devs are so goddamn lazy. They just choose either a cute or dark theme, choose either pixel or 3D, slap an anime aesthetic on it, ship it out, and like 17 weebs, Brazilians, and Brazilian weebs go nuts over it for a week and then you never hear about them again. The only Metroidvania worth a shit that released after Super Metroid or Castlevania: Symphony of the Night that actually did something substantial and original was Blasphemous and its sequel. And before some virgin trips over themselves to hit me with an ACKCHUALLY, Hollow Knight was cutesy pretentious garbage for people who watch too much anime.

The number of games coming out is growing, I've played at least half of the Demo versions of these games and I can't say I enjoyed it, it just sucks.
