That's a flat top blackhawk which means it's the original .357 frame size. The regular blackhawks are on a larger 44 mag size frame and the sights are protected because its not flat on top. I have the same gun you have and love it. I do not like the bulky 44 mag size frame of the standard blackhawk.
Shoot for less ? .357 magnum and .44 magnum, hand load magnum cases only to avoid making rings in the cylinder and less types of brass, shoot for pennies, have fun ! Except in the United Kingdom 😢
