    This video has taught me so much! I’m not able to afford a professional cleaner but I was able to do a very small part of my kitchen that hasn’t been deep cleaned in almost 3 years. Who knew there were cobwebs and so much caked on dust everywhere! I clean but I’ve never done a deep clean like this! Still so much to do but I’m determined to do the whole kitchen today even if it takes me all night! Thank you!

    Home is pretty clean to begin with and as it may be a bi weekly but when a single housekeeper has a challenge on their hands like greasy and fingerprint cabinets and greasy stove or some grimy countertops it can easily be difficult to prioritize and get the kitchen done in a certain slot of time. A kitchen that is "used often" may need to be cleaned at its main points and not everything be cleaned as other areas could be done on a deeper clean. Challenges like stoves and large floor areas eat up at least an hour when the kitchen is used constantly. It is great to get to the point of point cleaning Then deep cleaning to then clean a kitchen in this one's condition. Lots of great points that are helping my adventure as a new housekeeper. Thanks for the informative videos.

    What kind of mop pads do you use? Great technique for using multiple pads instead of just spreading dirt around the floor. Nice!!!! Personally I liked her judgement call on taking the grates out of the sink to wipe them all down instead of banging them against the sink. I saw in another comment you said you use MB5, can that be used on Laminate Wood Floors as well? Also, what all purpose cleaner do you use?

    She is having really good pace to cleaning but she doesn’t follow even simple hygienic rules:1.she is dealing with different chemicals, but no gloves. 2. She cleans under the cabinets, touches dirty baseboards and then directly goes to the microwave, no gloves, no hand washing. 3. Plastic bag with clean rugs is on the dirty floor and suddenly we see it on kitchen countertop. 4. Dirty rugs are spread on the floor and she steps on it. 5. She cleans baseboards and puts this dirty rug on countertop she just cleaned. 6. She collects dirty rugs out of floor and without washing her hands she touches all countertops as if she checks the job quality she done. So lots of mistakes in my opinion, first of all - hand washing

    • @annavr5845
      @annavr5845 4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      I noticed alot of this as well.... Yes the pace is good.... But as an owner of a professional cleaning company, I would have had more practice with processes. Constructive criticism. But gloves are a must. And the back and forth cross contamination of the rags was obvious. Cleaners make mistakes. I go through training process with them personally before they are out in the field. We all make mistakes..... but these are critical when it comes to sanitization. If I just wipe the floor where the dog just came in from being outside...... And then go back and wipe the counter it doesn't do it much Justice....lol

    • @maidtrainingacademy5213
      @maidtrainingacademy5213  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Maid companies vary on how often they wipe down kitchen cabinets. Most will do it every time they clean and most maid service frequency is every two weeks. Most of the dirty areas are on and around handles however if you don't clean all the cabinets then you are bound to miss something since spots can be hard to see. Watch the cabinets being cleaned in our Move-Out video. You cant see any spots but you can hear them when they are being cleaning. Yes, I said you can hear the spots. Watch the video and wait for my comments in the narrative. It will blow your mind.

      @@ashleighnichole8197 most cleaning services want their cleaners in & out fast so they can do more houses in a day. Usually they work in teams of two or three. As a house cleaner the more cleanings you do the faster you get & every surface should be cleaned. Be sure to check their work before they leave. And for any missing Items. (Did they vacuum? Often not done!) Be sure to lock up all valuables. Money, jewelry, guns, KEYS. A client of mine got her house cleaned and the cleaner stole her spare house keys, the woman had her set with her. Then a couple days later got robbed. When she went out. Do a background check on the maids even when going thru a cleaning service. With the COVID-19 you will want proof of a negative test results! I'm an independent cleaner I used to do house cleanings on a regular basis since I was 16 still doing it. But only have a few regular clients that I still have. I've cleaned for each of them 25 years. I'm 62.

    • @maidtrainingacademy5213
      @maidtrainingacademy5213  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Laura. Mighty Green is purchased through Hill Manufacturing of Atlanta GA. They are a large chemical and cleaning company that only sells to businesses. If you want the lowest prices on cleaning solutions you should find a local and reputable chemical manufacturer in your area. Shipping costs can really add to the cost but if you buy local they usually wave the shipping costs and bring it to your door. You will have to buy larger volumes and dilute the concentrate with a mixing station. Most chemical companies will give you the mixing station for free if you buy enough product. EcoLab is a well know supplier but they are VERY expensive.

    Very nice., I like how she filled a bucket with water and a cleaner, and then added a ton of rags. Two things I did not like. She used a rag to wipe the base cabinets, then wiped the baseboard at the floor and underside of the cabinets, then used the same rag to wipe the next cabinet and door knobs. Yuck! She also used the sponge to clean deep in the sink drains, twisting it around to pick up all the grime, then used the same sponge to wipe off the counter top. Double yuck!

    • @maidtrainingacademy5213
      @maidtrainingacademy5213  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching and your observations. As a Professional Maid there are things we do that require further explanation and that is why our classes can not be substituted with video training. The baseboards are no different than a counter top. They have dirt on them and the cleaning solution neutralizes anything bad. We also teach to shake your rag often to get allow stuff on the rag to fall to the floor. And change your rag based on several situations. This kitchen is clean and is used because it is faster as an example. Same with the sponge. She squeezed it out after using it to remove anything on the sponge. Visit www.MaidTrainingAcademy.com

    • @maidtrainingacademy5213

      Window blinds are handled differently by different companies and what cleaning package selected by the customer. Blinds are typically hand washed cleaned on an initial Spring Cleaning or Move-In/Out but then simply dusted during recurring service. Many maid companies rotated the blinds to every other cleaning while some never touch them for fear of breaking them which is easy to do, if they are old or not properly hung. We have a video on Dusting & Wet Wiping Window Blinds. Subscribe to our channel and check out all the cool things we discuss on window blinds. Thanks again and please hit the like button too :-)

      Maintenance cleaning however the difference between maintenance and Deep or Spring cleaning is not too different. In the Spring Clean, you will wipe down all cabinets and baseboards. In a maintenance / recurring cleaning many maid services will still wipe down all the cabinets just because cabinets get dirty in a few weeks and spot cleaning the cabinets is about the same time as wiping them all down. Also, this kitchen is in really good shape, where Spring Cleanings are often in bad need of a cleaning with spots on the cabinets, not smudges, and floors that need to be mopped multiple times. Incorrect. What you are talking about is Cutting Corners which is skipping areas your customer has paid you to do. Our Ethics Class goes into great detail how some cleaners get done fast because they are not doing everything because these areas may already appear to be clean. Our training reviews that the hardest house to clean is a clean home but your eyes can fool you plus the customer paid you to do all the tasks you told the customer was included. The timing of this kitchen is right on time for a Spring/Deep cleaning according to our training and the size of this kitchen. Being a Certified Professional Cleaner teaches you the advantages and even ethical responsibilities cleaners have to complete all tasks.

      @@ashleighnichole8197 thanks for the question. I am working on a formal answer to this exact question and others for people wanting to hire a maid service. No punches pulled, but also providing the solution to get exactly what you want so your expectations are met. That is foundation...setting expectations. Whoever you hire, make sure you have a detailed list of tasks completed. Most service companies do, most independents do not. Will they be as good as you, someone who cleans all the time? Yes, if you all agree on exactly what is included. But the answer is more complicated because it also includes how much you are willing to pay. If the cleaner is not getting paid enough they wont be around long. The turn over in home cleaners is about 300% annually. WOW You have to find the right person who is getting paid well enough and they have been doing it 5 years or longer, otherwise you will have to find a new cleaner ever 3 - 4 months. I will send you the free overview for first time buyers once we launch it in August.
