I’m heading there the end of the this month and that looks like a lot of fun . I love snorkeling out there trying to find fish or whatever never thought about getting a metal detector. My wife is going to hate me I’m never going to want to get out of the water now!
Ray Gee that’s what I did 80% of the time. It was a blast. I put up a great video on the snorkeling at the hotel, you should check that out. The snorkeling was one of the best I done so far at a hotel in MX. Hope you guys have fun.

Not sure about on the plane. I checked a bag and put the detector in the checked bag. I have taken scuba gear, drones, and cameras on the plane no problem so I would think you would be ok.

Do they give you a hard time for bringing in and using one of these at Xcaret or Xel-Ha?
No. Matter fact i had two people that worked at the park try to buy my metal detector from me. Everyone was super cool. Plus i helped clean up there parks, which had a bunch of nails in it.

Does the resort have any problems with doing this? I was planning on doing the same with a smaller detector, but wanted to make sure Mexico is ok with you doing this.
No one said anything to me, and one of the life guards would ask me what I found every day. this place was super cool with awesome staff.

I'm going to the hotel and park in May. Was it an extra cost to snorkel? We have the deluxe pass with full week in Xcaret and now I look forward to taking my metal detector. where any of those wedding bands Platinum?
Jeremy Lee no extra cost to snorkel. They have snorkel stuff you can use at the hotel for free but it’s first come first server, and they don’t have a lot. At the park you have to pay for the gear. I brought my own gear I would recommend doing the same. I put a link in the description of the stuff I used. No platinum, just silver and I think tungsten. Hope you have fun. Also The snorkeling at the hotel is much better then the park!!!

Jeremy Lee no bother man. Ya they charge for Dolphins, stingrays, and shark adventure. I think I paid around $60 for the dolphin, I didn’t get it on video because they wouldn’t let me take my GoPro on that one. If you want to get the video they sell it for around $150 and picture are like another $100. I got a deal on the dolphins experience I asked a guy at the park if they had any deals and he gave me $10 dollars off. They will negotiate down a little on picture as well, but not much.

I’m not sure now because of COVID. I had my own gear so I never needing anything. But the last time we went in 2009 they gave you free stuff.
Can we find cold with it?
Cold? Did you mean gold? If so yes. It not as good as the more expensive ones but it’s does detect everything.
With I buy from Mali Express it is the same ?

I am using the same device and its vibration is turned off how can I turn it on?
That’s a good questions. I’m not really sure mine has always worked.
How can I turn vibration on or off?
I think it’s defective. I don’t think there is a way to turn the vibration on and off.
