      @@memelois Hi MeMe I ended up booking this resort after watching yours and other videos. Yours definitely had the most detailed and helpful info.Thanks again. I'm going solo in December, even though I'm staying at the resort I want to experience as much local 'not touristy' activities as I can. I'd appreciate any recommendations you can share.

    Hello MeMe, after watching literally dozens and dozens of videos on Jamaica travel...your videos are definitely the most informative and interesting! I had asked you 8 months ago about either the Excellence Oyster Bay, or Hyatt Zilara. At the time you mentioned both were great, but maybe Excellence was just barely your choice if you could go to just one. Because of a Costco deal we ended up at the Hyatt Zilara, we loved it! We are planning another trip to Jamaica this coming winter and will stay at either the Excellence Oyster Bay, or...we have been told to stay in Negril at the seven mile beach area. I haven't noticed any Negril videos on your channel, would you by any chance have any word of mouth recommendations for the top 1 or 2 places to stay there? We are two couples in our 50's traveling with no kids. Activities are somewhat important, but a resort with a good beach location and top notch food is a plus. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks MeMe, have a great day.

      Heeyyy!! I'm so glad you got to go to Zilara and enjoyed it. Thank you for coming back and sharing. So, I personally have stayed at 2 Negril hotels that were lovely, but not all inclusive and not cheap (the Caves and Rockhouse Hotels). I have heard however, that Azul is lovely (it's a boutique all-inclusive hotel) and also my friend went to Couples Negril and said the food and service was great but the rooms look a little older. I will see I can get other recommendations for you.

      How was Hyatt Zilara? Do you still have to dine with kids while there? I'm trying to find a resort that's 100% adult only.

    • @CohibaIII
      @CohibaIII ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @25tjack25 We loved Hyatt Zilara! But... most of the restaurants are on the Ziva side of the sprawling resort. To tell the truth, we wanted adults only, so we stayed on the Zilara side, but we really didn't even notice the kids from the Ziva side when we dined there for dinner. In fact, we're going back this coming Jan., and we booked the Ziva side because it is $400 cheaper, and I already know that we can simply go to the Zilara side as much as we want, then we'll eat our dinners on the Ziva side. No, it's not exclusively adults only, but they are separated, so the kids don't really bother you if you don't want them to

      @CohibaIII thanks for replying! You really helped me out. It doesn't sound that bad now that you've explained it. I am also going in January as well.

    Dope work...i throw group trips and i usually host my trips in ochi when coming to Jamaica..but this time i want to do mobay... would you suggest this property for an adult group trip?

    • @memelois
      @memelois  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you and thanks for subscribing, I really appreciate it. Most definitely, I would recommend, especially if it’s a fun and flexible group. The hotel does have some kinks to work out (you can watch my room tour and hotel review for details on that), but overall it’s a fun and beautiful hotel. This one is in Trelawny btw, not exactly in MoBay. If you want a hotel in MoBay you can watch my videos on Hyatt Zilara, that’s a nice one.

      Ye, though it was clean, it wasn’t the best for swimming. Also, a lot of rocks. I mentioned it in my hotel review, you can check out that video for more details if you wish.

    does the hotel offer any type of transfer options?? shuttle, bus, ect.

    • @memelois
      @memelois  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Taya, it may be offered at a price. I didn’t need one, so I didn’t check that in particular. I’ll be sure to find out the next time I visit a hotel. Thanks for watching and I hope you consider subscribing. Have a great trip!

    Hey MeMe, does it mean that eventhough you're staying at Eden Bay you can just hop over to OCS? No restrictions?

    • @memelois
      @memelois  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep! No restrictions. However, it doesn't work vice versa. If you're staying at OCS you don't have access to Eden Bay.

    What’s your option on staying at this resort?

    • @memelois
      @memelois  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You mean what's my opinion? If yes, it a pretty fun hotel (most of the fun being on the Coral Spring side which you have access to). I did a full review actually you can check that video out if you want. There were some cons for sure, but generally speaking it's beautiful, the food is good and it has great vibes. Service is inconsistent along with a few other things but I mentioned everything in the review.
