Wow, this game looks like a mess. Lots of broken/missing features and bugs right off the bat. If a publisher sends content creators a game early to 'show off' the game, why would you want consumers to see it in this state? It's pretty to look at, but has major problems and strange issues (no wheel compatibility on day 1?, no way to turn off steering assist?, settings won't save?, no cautions on crashes?) I could go on. The no wheel support on day 1 seems like a HUGE oversight on the dev's end, especially for a racing game. Sure, you can argue 'well it's early access' but this amount of bugs and issues is almost unacceptable imho, especially at a SIXTY DOLLAR price point. If it were say $40, sure, it might not be perfect, but when asking for AAA prices, games need to be better than this at launch. I've been saying this for a while now myself. All I've seen is "OMG IT LOOKS SO GOOD! LOOK AT THE GRAPHICS!" I REALLY don't care how it looks. It could have NASCAR 98 N64 graphics for all I care, does it run well? Are there bugs? What are they? That is all we should care about. Because a turd with glitter and ribbons on it is still a turd.
I'd also like to point out Nascar Heat 5 (and 4) are only $15 on Steam right now. Just kinda goes to show that these games promise big, but within a year or two are being sold at a 75% discount. Paying $60 for this experience seems like a bit of a ripoff to me. Maybe if you're a massive Nascar fan, but to the casual viewer/gamer like me, not worth the current asking price.

Also if I recall, nascar 98 from 23 years ago had it so the hood would fly off. You drove around like 10 laps with a loose hood that the air did not effect one bit. The air should of tore it and Flung it up over 100mph. Man I’m just so fired up and disappointed but all these things this game is doing wrong.
I like the way the driving looks, but it’s gonna be really bad if we can’t turn off the steering assist. The ai look alright, and the car speeds seem realistic, but it’s gonna be really bad with the steering assist
I usually gas up in the straight aways . And off the gas in the corners but I use no brake and it saves me alot on tires to go longer runs. The only thing I hate is the shake cam . They need a rear view mirror and a track map . And gas and tire screen needs to be in the game as well . But I must say it's a fantastic game .
Back in the late 90's, I used to love a PC title called NASCAR Racing 2. Fantastic game at the time. I loved it so much that most of the time, I did 100% race lengths through full seasons. One thing stands out to me in my memories that's still far and above any more recent NASCAR title I've looked into: Damage. Yeah, in the footage here, we saw the bumper get banged up, the hood fly up, and a couple other things, but for what some of the incidents were, multiple cars would've had parts of their car shredded and/or crumpled as half the field of cars collided. But no...not in NASCAR games of recent years. Way back in NASCAR Racing 2, I recall being slammed into wall on turn 2 of Talladega. I was in 2nd or 3rd at that time, so as I spun out, one car slammed into me, smashing in my driver's side fender and wheel well. Right after that happened and I was now spinning in the other direction, another car slammed the passenger quarter panel, nearly tearing off the entire rear end. I at least recall seeing bits of metal fly from the car, along with the tire. Stuff like that continued to the point where all but roughly half a dozen cars, in that incident, made it through unscathed. Most were then flagged DNF as they lay somewhere along the back straight with a side-wall completely caved in or the front half of the car, engine block included, was completely gone. Some other games, like Wreckfest, for example, give me similar feelings, but nothing within branded NASCAR games, sadly.
theres a few things i want them to add like a mirror and a track map cause it looks like you can get wrecked pretty easy cause you cant see what happens after a pass unless you look back
Clearly this game is not finished. The release date is at the very end of the 2021 season, and there are lots of missing features (customs setups etc.). Patches will solve some of the bugs, but I think we need to expect some rough edges, and since the Next Gen cars are arriving next year, there won't be much appetite for solving issues with car physics. What bothers me most is the odd AI behaviour. Some people might realise that Heat 5 was a pretty good game. I never understood why so many users were so disappointed with it.
The AI at the start finish line remind me of creating LP files for NASCAR 3 and being forced to run laps that started and ended at the exact same spot or the AI would have major problems.
There's an old editor guy. I tweaked those LP files for hours till I got them nearly perfect. Completely different game than was released. 👍 Old farts...... Lol
Hey guys, Michael Mrucz got assigned the first official version of this game, each yt got assigned a different version, so if you’re watching his stream, keep this in mind. Gerry aka GOWEN got the best version of this game assigned.
When I saw a previous video I saw the “stay behind the # car” and I was like hell yeah, finally manual driving under pace laps. Boy was I wrong. Why can’t we have that????
I remember the NASCAR games before EA got a hold of it and start messing it up. That was when Sierra was running the show and done a pretty good job of it. They still had those glitches back then were cars are pulled out on a track, let's say Talladega, and like when Darrell Waltrip took me out, The game was set up so it got to the end of the pit lane The AI cars were immediately thrown out into traffic was absolutely no regard to anybody in that particular spot. Namely me... But I remember visiting my brother and he was watching Michigan on TV and I was running Michigan on a Sierra game and only being about a second per lap off versus what was on TV. But also almost broke my neck on that racetrack because I lost it on turn two turning hard to the right, the car grabbed and straight into the wall and 170 mph. I was so engrossed in the game I have threw my head back just before I impact the wall. My neck hurt for a week... Thanks for the video up on a new game, I do like to graphics, but they really do need to improve gameplay....
Not feeling too confident that the game won’t be buggy on release due to the fact they gave you this buggy version to show everyone the game. I mean if you’re trying to sell something wouldn’t you want to be marketing something that is not in such a poor condition? To me the “it’s a old version” is getting old, because the release is never any different.
Going straight to the track without a warmup lap in qualifying…no custom setups…I’m getting nervous and I was so excited for this game. Graphic wise looks great and they have a solid base to build on. But I’m worried it’s gonna be what you said…meh
@@lj3998 what people said about fallout 76. Still a mess. Typically when a game is buggy before release, and the release is near. Its expected to have problems at launch.

The menu screens look busy with transitions and such. The positioning of the selectable menus isn't very ergonomically pleasing. Menus upon menus. I miss when nascar games were "pick a car, pick a track, race." The shaking cameras and the motion blur is all for the birds.
Hi I like nascar alot and I think they should bring legendary sponsors into ignition like I'm talking about chase for the cup days sponsors like 52 stars and dodge etc like if you agree
I can't believe it is so bug ridden. From what I see so far, especially since you had issues with your wheel, I will wait until there are better reviews and they get their act together. Spending that much money on software with that many bugs isn't on my list of things to do.
The whole community is acting hypocritical about this, its an early version, EARLY VERSION there are bound to be some broken stuff and bugs but those should be patched in the next few updates, remember they built this gane from scratch, this isn't even the final game either.
I was excited for it until I found out you can’t turn off steering assist , half the wheels don’t work, and no setups, strange for a racing game. Hopefully they make it better
It’s not the final product yet, the game doesn’t release for 9 days. Just be patient, they will hopefully address these issues before launch. They probably gave TH-camrs early access to help them find issues needing to be fixed.

Wow perfect timing I just finished your other Nascar 21 ignition video
NASCAR 2021 it’s supper fun to watch I heard Kyle Larson won todays race
theres a few things i want them to add like a mirror and a track map cause it looks like you can get wrecked pretty easy cause you cant see what happens after a pass unless you look back
Honestly can't wait to buy this! Even thought the NASCAR games aren't very good I love NASCAR anyway so I'm happy either way..
They need to make the damage model better should crush panels easier
Love watching doing races
Gerry aka GOWEN got the best version of this game assigned.
why the fuck did they do that
@@koop2014 idfk, people are stupid
Yea that dude's annyoing as fk can't watch his channel
I wonder if the full finished version will have a choice to change your time between mph and seconds
When I saw a previous video I saw the “stay behind the # car” and I was like hell yeah, finally manual driving under pace laps. Boy was I wrong. Why can’t we have that????
What did they think was going to happen when they sent this to TH-camrs? It is absolutely dreadful!
Jeff keeps me Informed about NASCAR lol
Not getting this game until all the bugs are fixed and there’s a burnout mode when u win a race 🤦♂️
I love how the crew chief didn’t even change his voice or even say anything else when the car flipped! Haha
I seen one thing added , the choose cone is in it. That's pretty neat
Man that AI looks absurdly easy…
Based on everything I’ve seen, this game seems super meh.
Going straight to the track without a warmup lap in qualifying…no custom setups…I’m getting nervous and I was so excited for this game. Graphic wise looks great and they have a solid base to build on. But I’m worried it’s gonna be what you said…meh
Man this seems like a mess…unfortunate.
It’s not the full version stfu
@@lj3998 what people said about fallout 76. Still a mess. Typically when a game is buggy before release, and the release is near. Its expected to have problems at launch.
@@lj3998 So how much do you think will change for the release? You really think the devs would send a build out for TH-camrs that's months old? Not that much will change by the full release as not much can be done in the limited time they have left.
Chill this is an old version they used to show the game at events.
The final version will be much better
Mr.Favigani literary says in the beginning that this is the same version thr devs where showing at events MONTHS ago.
Just have some faith this isnt 505 games
yeah this game is definitely not ready at all
This game has potential. I'll stick with NASCAR '15 until they work out the bugs.
I hope they get the cautions fixed before this is released. That has seemed like a problem in the last couple games and I don't understand why it has persisted.
So far I'm liking the game. It doesn't remind me of Nascar Heat at all. Can not wait to see the final product.

Seems like the game was made for me! It releases on my birthday! 🥳
It just would be cool if they would take NASCAR racing 2003 update the graphics to next gen and leave those physics with that damage added on to a more updated look and you got yourself one hell of a game at NASCAR thunder 2003 career mode we have to build the engines and stuff like that and you got yourself a solid game it seems like
Why Iracing still uses 2003 physics an it’s trash now , this game will have the best physics out from Rfactor2
@@bristolbarrett4991 of iracing didn't have net code issues it wouldn't be trash at all NASCAR racing 2003 is the only game that I know that the bump and run hitting the left quarter panel will cause someone to move up the track or spin out depending on how you hard you it them from what I experience anyway out of the nascar games we have
@@ZBULLET523 Iracing is just so far behind the times an it’s not even close to other sims out , just because u pay to play Dont mean anything, to be real mostly young kids play Iracing an have no clue how a real sim should drive
@@bristolbarrett4991 Give me an example of a real sim? Nascar racing 2003 is still being used for casual players best physics out of nascar games not iracing not sim not everyone wants a sim from the early game footage the Rfactor stuff doesn't look that great. Something are miles above the heat games but still and they're are alot more than young kids that play it at lot of actual racers do so iracing still has some cred
@@ZBULLET523 Rfactor2 is one , an trust me bud Iracing is not even close , an no 2003 is just what people base it off of cause it was the only thing close , but with Rfactor2 it’s spot on from ALL the sims I have ran an compared to the real cars I drove in real life , Rfactor2 is the closest, an all u have been seeing on this new game is eye candy not the physics until u drive it , lol an if u think this new game will be like Heat then ur so so so wrong, it will have FULL Rfactor2 physics, an it’s as close to real u can get
Seems like it will be good in 2-4 months of patching. Game looks pretty though and doesn't have that oversaturated filter from heat 5
This game will be nothing like the Heat games , it will drive like Rfactor2 best physics in the game
I’m excited just to have Nashville super speedway in a nascar
definitely needs some work in areas but other then the bugs and other things like that it looks really good
Perfect video to start the week
I would buy this game if it had caution replays and a visible pitstops after caution main reason I didnt like Nascar heat 4. Also the fact the hood and bumpers hang and bounce after crashes is a awesome touch
The steering wheel only works while racing for right now. That's what others who uploaded this today said
Yep and it didn’t work at all for me
@@jfavignano oh, yeah that sucks haha
The menu screens look busy with transitions and such. The positioning of the selectable menus isn't very ergonomically pleasing. Menus upon menus. I miss when nascar games were "pick a car, pick a track, race." The shaking cameras and the motion blur is all for the birds.
that is what it all says about it is the RYZEN 7 5800x that what the size of it is/ RTX 3090
Cars look like they are on rails if I ride someone and tap em a good bit they need to do more than move 1 inch
Finally, NASCAR games are starting to look more like F1 games. I'm glad.
Lol game still sucks tho
@@Tvtgames101 not really tho
@@dannydevito9056 my guess ur little the game sucks looks good but game bad as heck watch other streams
@@Tvtgames101 why it's all the same game
Thanks G and J here is one good review for this game
Hi I like nascar alot and I think they should bring legendary sponsors into ignition like I'm talking about chase for the cup days sponsors like 52 stars and dodge etc like if you agree
They should.
I can't believe it is so bug ridden. From what I see so far, especially since you had issues with your wheel, I will wait until there are better reviews and they get their act together. Spending that much money on software with that many bugs isn't on my list of things to do.
I think I’m going to stick with nascar heat 5. This game looks good but I’ll check in on it in a few montha
Don’t have much hope for good wheel support if yours don’t even work at all
Game looks so good can’t wait to play it!
Same!!!
The lack of custom setups and forced steering assist is a major turn off. Probably will not buy until it's on sale.
Why would you buy it then? Clearly, they release this dung and expect you to trust them to fix it?
The whole community is acting hypocritical about this, its an early version, EARLY VERSION there are bound to be some broken stuff and bugs but those should be patched in the next few updates, remember they built this gane from scratch, this isn't even the final game either.
It's busted, my dude. Dead.
@@jocelynturmel3282 still sounds hypocritical to me
@@jocelynturmel3282 the logic y’all be using id
I was excited for it until I found out you can’t turn off steering assist , half the wheels don’t work, and no setups, strange for a racing game. Hopefully they make it better
Not being able to turnoff steering assist is such a deal breaker for me..
It’s not the final product yet, the game doesn’t release for 9 days. Just be patient, they will hopefully address these issues before launch. They probably gave TH-camrs early access to help them find issues needing to be fixed.
@@alexloyer-bales2798 If I don’t post my opinion they won’t have feedback on what to put into the game or understand why people aren’t buying or playing.
YES!!!! I am going to have to check this game out. Thanks Jeff!
Thanks Jeff I am ready to get my hands on this game just going to take it for what it is not expecting to much it is their first go around
Saw the twitch stream wish there was a story like play as nascar legends career mode/ etc It has potentional If the bugs and glitches are fixed..
Remember when we all thought ea sports Nascar 09 was bad? But we haven't had a competent nascar game since then
The fact that it wasn't ready for a wheel is off-putting from the start.
Can't wait to get it next Thursday
I already have the game preordered and not going to refund it but I originally thought I was gonna completely switch from Heat 5 to this but now I think I'm still gonna play this but mainly play Heat 5 till some of these problems are fixed
This game i really want to get because I play a lot of nascar games
Daniel Suarez P10 .. I'm so happy for him.
Agreed NO steering assist ! Great footage btw .
I’m sorry but black flag for cutting the dog leg at Phoenix???
Thanks Jeff!!
Most nascar games if u miss the cone it doesn't pit u. Tho I'm still trying to decide. Every other video I see makes me want to and not. This one was the best preview. Still needs work no matter what but still looks better then the heat series
I can see this new NASCAR game needs some adjustments to make it fun to play like 13:03 how was that a pently it's good move & they didn't throw caution out when u and Stenhouse tangled together @ Phoneix track mode.
Once again Jeff thanks for an informative look at another game. I love the way it looks and plays. Sorry maybe u said in video but I missed it is there custom lobbies? If not that’s a downer. Thanks again Jeff. Great channel
no custom lobbies, the game as of what I played here is very bare bones
@@jfavignano oh seems legit lol
I watch these early access gameplay to know if im getting burned. First off we all know that there's only 2 tracks that going under the yellow line is a penalty. Also wtf are these nascar heat evolution cautions? Game looks different visually but in the end still screams nascar heat
I like that the game actually black flags you for cutting the dog leg at PIR. I wish that was something NASCAR would implement irl.
Gasped out loud when I saw this in my feed lol. Never bought a nascar game but always followed along, none of them have really been good enough, hopefully this will be the one.
I’ve played and owned nascar games since the late 80s. Love them and was excited for this. From what I’ve seen from all these gameplay videos, this game is FAR from complete. I’m not impressed by anything but the graphics.
@@DaNDuBy cool story
@@mikeroberts8637 sorry I didn’t elaborate more.
@@DaNDuBy yea, they never seem to want to put an emphasis on crash/damage physics but that’s one of the biggest parts of nascar. Maybe the full version will be improved.
Wind speed perpetually increasing...missing features...no custom setups...settings not changing properly...eeesh.
Man the more I watch...there's no fucking way this is worth 60 bucks. LMFAO.
hello jeff from Australia
the game looks really good for a early access but i hope they fix all the problems before the full game comes out ....
Game needs many giant patches.
Kurt bush is my favorite driver too
