    Does this come with bluetooth, or just the uart connector for a bluetooth module? Programming vescs with the vesc app and bluetooth is so easy compared to the pc version, so much faster and much handier for viewing data. Bluetooth modules are cheap and I think it would be great to include them with your boards, even if you have to pay $20 more for it

    • @FlipskyTech
      @FlipskyTech  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The ESC itself does not come with Bluetooth, it can only be connected to the Bluetooth module through the UART port, thanks!

      @Shep VanDelay lol bluetooth vesc tool is night and day easier to use. You can monitor data in real time on your phone and change settings in seconds. Kinda hard to do that with a laptop plugged into your vesc while you're riding

    How do you turn this on and off?
    If I plug this into a battery through an xt90, it is always powered on?
    I have a button switch like in the video, but it's just a button and 3 wires, it doesn't have that black box in between the battery and vesc power wires. Can that be plugged into to the other cables? Or will it not work.

      Hi Friend. This esc doesn't come with power on/off switch or anti-spark switch, so you need an external anti-spark switch. For other power on/off switches, please check the internal circuit to make sure the compatibility. Thanks.

    Hi.. can i connect 2 of this for a dual motor setup and then connect this two FLIPSKY 75100 FOC to a gt-100 display for odometer and battery percentage purposes?

    how do you connect the different motors? the wiring is small like the motor hall and the throttle wiring is small connector

    • @DigBipper188
      @DigBipper188 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Yellow, Blue and green wires on the motor controller are phase connections. Like the main power input wires on the 75100, They intentionally leave them unterminated so that you can solder on an appropriate connector (e.g MT60 or MR60) or or solder the motor phase wires (which should be the same colour) directly to the motor controller.
      Besides that, they have an additional connector labelled "HALL" which is used to connect the hall sensors. this also has the same colour coding as the motor phase wires as there is a sensor that corresponds to each phase position, plus a black, white and red wire.
      black: ground
      White: Motor temperature sensor (if applicable)
      Red: +5 volts

    Is it necessary to connect the power wires to the motor by color?

    • @DigBipper188
      @DigBipper188 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'd advise you do as a lot of motor controllers will either spin the wrong direction or have trouble spinning up smoothly during phase detection if you don't connect them according to the colour of the wire. This is even more apparent with motors that have a hall sensor configuration to allow a smoother field-oriented control (FOC) drive mode.

    Hi,
    I bought Flipsky 75100 75V 100A but it doesn't work :(
    I installed Vesc Tool, connected Flipsky controler through USB, everything seems ok, throttle is recognized, but when I pull throttle, nothing happen :(
    I spent hours in trying to make this work, without success. I have no solution so far ...
    Over $100 thrown away :(
    I will put my Turnigy controler back, a much more rustic controller, but that works !

      @@FlipskyTech Could you make it water resistant please? It shouldn't be very hard. The specs are amazing but a lack of water resistance is huge. I don't even see any seals or sealant. Would we add water resistance ourselves? Also a plain black box with no branding makes it seem like you don't take pride in your products.

    • @timothybrown9762
      @timothybrown9762 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@FlipskyTech It will meet our 'requirements', but we're concerned with the seeming lack of silicone sealing where the wires exit and it doesn't seem like there's any rubber gasket seals for the end plates. Are those missing in the pictures but not the real thing? How is it sealed and protected against ingress?

    • @DigBipper188
      @DigBipper188 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@timothybrown9762 yeah, the 75100 isn't watertight. You can make it watertight though with a few modifications while also improving the thermal performance a bit;
      1: use a conformal-coat spray on the board. this will produce a water-resistant layer on the board and prevent water damaging it
      2: use silicone or rubber gasket material to close off the ends of the controller
      3: use clear silicone to seal the little light pipe on the top of the controller
      4: infill the wire grommit with silicone also
      this at the very least will make the controller more splash resistant and it will be able to handle being run in damp environments substantially better.
      While you're in there it could also be worth adding thermal paste to the metal bar that the MOSFETs sit on. this will not only make the side of the controller more water resistant, but it will also transfer more heat from the MOSFETs to the outer casing where it can be dealt with more effectively.

    Dont waste your time, it is the same issue like with 7550, wheels are spinning only in the air, not spinning on the ground at all. When connected via canbus you cannot setup throttle because it says all the time to update firmware, but there is no option to update the firmware it is not able to update.
