I paid $8 for this at a Goodwill store. I was actually very impressed at how good it picks up, both carpet and hard floors.

I appreciate you mentioning the model number UD22030. So many vacuum videos do not mention the model number. I have that exact same model which I trash picked and did a TH-cam video back in January. (Keywords “Marshall Curtis” and “demo of my trash picked Dirt Devil”)

It is a good product for the price. To clean the filter, wipe it with dry paper towels. For large spills on counters or tables use dry paper towels and a waste container.

About half a year ago I needed a stick vac with a rotating brush. It came down to this, and the very similar (though not quite as skinny) Dirt Devil Vibe 3-in-1. The Power Stick was the more expensive option and, based on the Amazon images, appeared to have a more sophisticated brush roll, but the Vibe was ~$15 cheaper at the time (I got it for $36ish) and had all the same features anyways, so that's what I went with. After this video, I'm glad I did, and that's primarily because of the noise. The difference in the vacuums' designs made it apparent enough that two different motors are being implemented here, but, both being 2A machines, I was very surprised to see how loud and shrieky this one is. The Vibe on the other hand is quite possibly the least noisiest stick vac I've ever used. Think of a Window AC operating on High Fan - only a little louder than that. Its brush roll has held up very well thus far as well.

    • @BrucifyMe

@@austincooper8846 are you asking if the power stick will have enough capacity to vacuum a living room without overfilling the dirt cup? if so, well it depends on the size of your living room and how often you vacuum - I can only compare the similar Vibe, but if I go two weeks without vacuuming, the dust bin is nearly completely full (almost above the rubber flap/inlet) and that's just the 120sqft carpeted room I use it for.

I own this stick vacuum, it’s definitely loud for me too. I prefer not to use it all that much. It’s a good machine though, and it’s easy to use.

I have found that if you go back and forth and then left to right the results are MUCH better. If you spray a mild detergent or disinfect on your carpet (don't saturate) it picks up better.

Thanks for this review! I've been struggling with the hand vac release at the bottom, I tried the way you pushed it (angle) and it worked! Now I don't have to buy a new vacuum!

I have 2, this model and the newer led with attachments model with no spin brush, they both require a filter clear after a few uses even if container is not full, otherwise they will start losing suction and motors will start working hard and sound stressed and may damage motor over time if filters are ignored, thats the only cons along with sounding like a tornado siren, and the newer model u can't find replacement filters!

If the brush won't roll it is due to the plastic over the stem of the motor. The stem end is flat . The plastic dented capping that covers the motor stem to lead the strap fits on that flat stem end. When operating the vacuum the flat metal stem is breacking the half circle in the plastic and makes a perfect circle so the platic cover can't train the strap anymore. They don't sell that piece and makes your vacuum unuseable. A perfect exemple of what pollution is from great companies. A $0.03 value send all that vacuum to garbage. You could have done this piece made out of metal and make it durable.

You want a good broom type of vacuum, hunt down a vintage Regina Electrikbroom those are good substitutes for a full sized upright! Especially the Electrikbrooms with the Powered Brushroll Nozzles. Aka Regina Powerteam Electrikbrooms.

Biggest piece of crap I have ever used in my life!!!! Waste of money folks. After two uses on area rugs the beater bar wont turn and it has zero suction. Its on its way to goodwill. Buyer beware.
