I’m a Lebanese Muslim Sunni, who happens to be a Riyadi(Sporting Club) fan. I started rooting for this team when I was a kid because I was a huge Lakers fan, and the shirt color was enough to attract my attention to this team. I didn’t at that time know anything about all this religious crap as my parents raised me as a muslim who is also open to all other religions. I still support the club, but I despise a pig portion of it’s fan base, because and as Fadi El-Khatib said, they are mostly cheering for the club because of their religious and mostly political affiliations. Believe it or not, it’s not muslims vs christians, it’s even muslims vs muslims, and christians vs christians, it all depends on their party leaders and which club represents them. I live in a country where my people, who sadly are highly educated, yet are dumb enough to fall for the lies and tricks of the politicians, and are easily swayed by their religious beliefs even though we are one of the least religious people in the world, muslims and christians. Nothing will fix this country, as long as we have 3 countries controlling our democracy, Saudi Arabia, Iran, and the US, when they stop supporting their puppets in Lebanon, and also the blame falls on the flock of sheep who cheer for and blindly follow everything their leader say.
I am sorry to break the news to you, but Lebanon is not a country divided by tribes. It is a poor journalism to rely on generalizations, headlines and stereotypes as sources. Vice has failed yet again to produce a quality documentary.
Very poorly done. Jumped hastily to create inaccurate generalizations. Sensationalizing and overblowing a rivalry and trying to portray an edgier division in order to garner more views.
It is so shameful that politics get involved in Sports. I hate very much when this happens. This situation reminds me very much to what happened in Yugoslavia - Croatia. Vlade Divac and Dražen Petrović. A very good friendship was broken because of nationalism feelings, and maybe the only team that could beat the U.S dream team back then was destroyed. It was a waste of talend. Basketball world history could have been different by now.
This is the main reason why I stopped attending basketball games when I was living in Lebanon... Politics and religion always destroy sports... on another note I have witnessed much more intense derbies and specifically while I was living in Greece (Panathinaikos vs. Olympiakos).. Now that derby is insane and you really feel like you are going to war while entering the stadium.. and with police carrying their weapons and K-9 dogs right by their side xD
why u didn't capture the sagesse fans and we all know that sagesse is back now and i know the fans who love political not allow in the court not anymore 2019 sagesse all the ways 💚💚
go fuck yourself people like you would be even looked down on by the Lebanese people who are among the most knowledgeable and educated in the entire world and also arrogant

In the curacao doc on mlb youtube channel a lebanese is featured. Keanu Reeves was born in lebanon and acted in a baseball film
The translation for the "Saad Hariri! Saad Hariri!" chant is incorrect is wrong. What they are ACTUALLY saying is "Hariri, come on, get out!"

Lebanese educated and knowledgeable? They can barely elect a govt and hold it together. Failed mickey mouse state.
Lebanon is about to be very rich in oil. Then we elect someone and its all fine.
