13:24 In fact, in 1820 there was "The Free Province of Guayaquil" but because of the tyrant Simon Bolívar we were annexed the hard way. Currently on the shield of Guayaquil it says: For independent Guayaquil. There is also a very famous poem in those years where it says: Guayaquil wants to be free, it is the will of its people that the cunning government does not rule in the province, Guayaquil wants to be free and be governed by Olmedo (president of the province of Guayaquil). Its territory extended from the province of Manabí to the province of Tumbe (Peru) along the entire Ecuadorian coast.
13:08 At least you admit you don't do further research, since it shows: Guayaquil independence isn't a tantrum, they were culturally and economically closer to the Vicerroyalty of Peru than to Quito (It had even been a part of Peru for 2 centuries, until 1717), but Simón Bolívar and his cronies put them together after Peruvians decided they didn't want to be part of Bolívar's Gran Colombia.

I desagree, economically speaking, Antioquia is the second most important economic region of Colombia, it would be a total disaster for Colombia's economy. I studied economy, the struggle will be like hell for everybody. We will lose so much than gaining anything of value. They need us and we need them. It is as simple as that. I understand the sentence " Solve almost ALL of Colombia's problems" but from my point of view, it will worsen everything down the road.

If you give the southern republic of Brazil also São Paulo and the oil of Rio de Janeiro, you might get a potential new super power. And whats left of the country would become the Bangladesh of South America.
The biggest problem with South America, is that the borders just make too much sense. If they didn't, we would've gone to war much more frequently over the years. While the European borders you drew made (a little more) sense, these don't as much. I understand your video has to have enough content to fill more than a minute lol, but it is hard to when your borders are already set by the longest mountain range in the world and the largest (and also kinda impenetrable for modern societies) forest in the world.
It doesn't make any sense to separate the amazon from Brazil, it would not have any means of defending itself since it's an extremely undeveloped region.
That panhandle you took away from Argentina mostly follows the natural lines of rivers, it was literally shaped by geography and not completely arbitrary lines on a map like most of them. Also you probably just caused a new triple alliance war.
I'm a firm believer of unions rather than independencies. Everywhere you create a new country which separates from a larger one, your'e creating a problem. Smaller political divisions also have much smaller international relevance, hence, are more likely to become impoverished. Each of the countries in South America are somewhat relevant in the international arena, especially Brazil, but none compare to the large super-powers. But if all countries decided to create a union, similar to the E.U., the area would immediately become the fourth largest economic entity in the world, with a population of around 500 million. But such a union could also extend to the northern border of Mexico and include most of the islands of the Caribbean (all "Latin American" countries), which would make such an entity very mighty.
AVANTE LATINOS
Create a second Amzonian state with Spanish language. Comprising the Amazon regions of Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Colombia and Venezuela. Essequibo can be given to Venezuela. The Nordeste Brazil mentioned in the video can also form a state. The Pantanal areas in Bolivia can be attributed to Brazil. Because Brazil takes better care of their protection.
Bolivia: Yay!! We got our sea access back!! Paraguay: We want sea access too. It's not fair. Oh hey, there's a new independent country east of us. Let's invade them.
I would have created, along with gaining Bolivia an exit to the sea, the Altipalinc Republic or the Republic of Qullaw, since they already have the Wiphala and share, culture and language, which means Jujuy, Salta and Tucumán in Argentina should also go to them, along with Antofagasta in Chile and the south of Peru as you mentioned in the video. I would also divide Bolivia in two since most "European" descendants live in the east maybe joining the South Brazil Republic. For the Mapuche (btw always singular) people I would have given them at least Neuquén of Argentina, plus the two southern regions of Chile (Los Ríos and Los Lagos) and the country should be name as Wallmapu, since it has always referred to this way. Chile would also gain Mendoza and San Juan due to having very similar cultures and to compensate for all the losses of Chile as well. Then I would have created another state consisting only of Patagonia (no kingdom we don't like patronising Europeans). And finally, I would have given the Falklands to the Patagonian Republic (since we don't like occupied territories, same as northern Ireland).
8:27 No, the state of Pernambuco once attempted to gain independence in 1817, driven by the devaluation of Brazilian sugar and cotton in the international market, therefore, the state's separation can be considered plausible.

In 5:09 you said "people should belong to each country they prefer" about the Falkland Islands but then in 5:40 you acknowledge the independence of a meaningless movement in the south of Brazil, which has had multiple polls and official votes, that only just proved the majority of the people (98%) want to stay as part o Brazil. É, isso já se explica sozinho
The mapuche "ancestral lands" do not extend to argentina. The mapuche lived in argentina for only a short while, less than the spaniards on america. Those lands the mapuche "claim" in argentina are lands of natives they exterminated and/or assimilated.
Also, the Mapuches do have their own expansion history, while at the same time fighting off another expansionist empire (the Incas)
Even the Araucania's region population, a third of which identifies as mapuche, overwhelmingly voted against a constitution proposal that would have recognized the Mapuche (term that started being used in the 19th century after chilean independence) as a different nation. His video is like if the British had drawed the borders in South America. Mostly South America's borders are good, most are based in natural borders.
Thank you, most people just overlook south and north America indigenous population thinking they deserve everything without looking at historic concepts

I second this. Crime ratings would go ↘️
I would have created, along with gaining Bolivia an exit to the sea, the Altipalinc Republic or the Republic of Qullaw, since they already have the Wiphala and share, culture and language, which means Jujuy, Salta and Tucumán in Argentina should also go to them, along with Antofagasta in Chile and the south of Peru as you mentioned in the video.
