That black label Paiste 2oo2 stamp/thumbnail takes me right back... I almost worshipped these Paistes back then lol... Gradually replacing my Zildjians one by one. All 3 paiste crashes here sound great 👍 18's? Reissue #3 may be my favorite.. Then #2 ..then #1 ...
Listen to the first crash when Led Zeppelin's 'Wanton Song' starts. That middle 1976 2002 medium Terry has there is the exact tone. I have that medium from 1972. They had longer sustain and shimmer than the red labels.
'71 highest pitch and quite strong attack, '76 lowest pitch ,mellower, longest sustain and '92 mid pitch, same attack as '71 but somehow softer. All desirable
You're way off base on the serial numbers! German serial numbers are CONSECUTIVE! They used a different system than the Swiss system. The first digit does not equal the year, they are numbered consecutively. If you are looking at a German Black Label Paiste from the 1970s, the second digit is a good general indicator of the year. I.E. a German 2002 with a 17xxxx serial is from 1977 or 1978. In this case, a lower third digit most likely = 1977 while a higher third digit puts you closer to 1978.
hi Bonzoleum .... I have a 2 PAISTE 2002 BLACK LABEL 18 " .... I think they are the 30th anniversary , not the 70's .... Can you tell me approximately the value ? .. and how do I take away all doubts with the serial number to understand the production year ? hello
They no longer call it "silk screen", because most printers do not use silk anymore. Now it's called "screen printing", because most printers use a polyester screen material.
Hi everyone, i recently bought a paiste black label 2002 ride 20", stamped with black ink 2002 and have the following serial numbers: 840257, can anyone tell me what year it was ? and how much it worth? or is it a simple ride like any other?

Two dollars?
76 is the best one to my ears.
Me too.
I have a ride with a red label 'Paste' on the bottom side. Do you have any idea which generation is it? The serial numer is 6 digits
+Kuba Nowak Probably 1980's.
thanks. the first digit is 1, does that mean its 1981?
It should.
The middle and the right sound very similar, but the first one is much higher in pitch.
But they get a darker pitch the newer they are..
The middle is definitely like Bonzo.
Ok! Thnx. Really enjoy your vid.s Very informative.
I have a question about the stamps... if I buy these without the stamp , should they be selling them for less ?
The ink stamping? The original ink stamping is always nice to have for most and will draw a higher price.
yes the ink stamping... but what if I want to wash the cymbals caused they've turned yellow from al
l the years of playing in bars !! haha @@bonzoleum

I would love to get the 76 Swiss cymbal. But can't find any.

Hi Alfredo-it should be from 1978. Does it have a 2002 logo stamped in to the metal itself (not just the black ink one) at the 12 o'clock position?
@@bonzoleum exactly, in the Middle got a paiste 2002 logo mark on it
Definitely a 1978 original black label. Nice cymbal!
