    "Still got hands? Put 'em to use". Legendary. Solid footwork as well, clean as.

    That improv on the second half of the video made this 10x better! It was raw and very awesome to watch.

    Having that moment with the Q/D button getting pressed is super enlightening. I never would have considered that possible...but now...I'm rethinking my forward attachment points for sure.

      You never would have thought that a Quick Detach could accidentally detach quickly?

    As close as you can get to reality. Excellent work as always Randy, love seeing the growth.

    Very cool demo! I wish I could do this stuff at my gym

    Very nice video! Not enough good weapon retention videos out there. Great to see the openness to detach from the weapon in such close quarters. So many think "why not just grab secondary" when that creates tunnel vision and attachment rather than breaking free and creating space.

    That’s the only true way to train. You want all the kinks to come out before a real confrontation. Very impressive sir!

    • @canadafree2087
      @canadafree2087 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Fact: There will always be kinks and no you can't work them all out in training. Your training should condition you to keep going when something happens in real life that never happened in the school. As long as it won't hurt the student, you should never stop mid-level students mid-technique. There will be time later to talk about what happened and what the student did well and what could be done better.

    I definitely like and approve of your technique with the under/over arm grab and head slaps in the case of an active struggle over my primary weapon. And I fully understand your thought process. Having trained for this very scenario. But for me personally I do not like the idea of ever letting go of my primary firearm during an active hands on struggling situation. I prefer to inflict a major distraction technique such as always training to break the attackers leg so he/she cannot stand, meaning they lose their balance through the severe pain/trauma so he/she cannot fight.

    Nice to see some fight come out there. Didnt stop the demonstration until he knew, if it was real, the situation would be neutralized.

    That's why they say, "train how you fight". Because it sucks way less learning your stuff doesn't work in training than it does when your life is on the line.

  • @EdwardPetrillo-yh3cw
    @EdwardPetrillo-yh3cw 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Why not headbutt? You got a ballistic helmet on. Also if your weapon is slung you might as well ditch it to have both your hands free. I suppose then if they pull on it they can create leverage because it’s attached to you. Nonetheless great video man; this material isn’t put out often. Cheers boys

    To be clear, he tried taking your rifle and you would not shoot him with your pistol? Seems like if he's trying to take your rifle, he's arming himself. Just wondering.

    Get the BCM QDs they are better than the magpul cus the button is recessed and protected. Very unlikely for them to come off like yours did in this video.
    They’re like dimpled similar to a wml push button that you would run so you don’t white light ND

      Imagine 11 more dudes right behind him flowing in and dominating the space and rooms around you and in front of you, as Randy simultaneously has you pinned with a leveraging arm and is ruthlessly beating your teeth out 😂😂😂

    Many martial art schools will teach you BS techniques for years as long as you keep paying them. People paying for the classes are getting their ass handed to them everyday by people who had no training except from fighting on the street in real violence. True combat comes from bringing the violence and pain faster and harder than your attacker. He mentions over and under for the buttstock. The viewer should be aware that US military teaches both ways depending on unit. Therefore, train retention both ways, remembering that even if you are a CQB buttstock underarm guy, your gun may be grabbed while you have it mounted to your shoulder and the attacker may push that buttstock above your shoulder.
