It's sinking in! Thanks, Liam. We are so lucky you turned your hand to this and help out so many, filling in the resource gap that exists for Irish. Really want to get financially better off and then sign up to your courses and teaching. In the meantime, this is really helping.
this is really helpful, the fact that you are breaking down the grammar rules BUT also that I am hearing you pronounce it and I can see the spelling... There are several videos as Gaeilge on YT but many don't have proper subtitles...or they are speaking way too fast...and then conversely, some books I have don't have cds etc so I have NO idea how to pronounce them, and teanglann is honestly a tad confusing for me lol. ...so it is nice to see it slowly done. Go raibh maith agat!
Hi David, thanks for watching! On that sentence we're looking at what's at the end of the sentence > The team are REALLY GOOD > So no noun after the verb, therefore we use 'Tá'. Hope that makes sense
@@LearnIrishOnline Dia duit a Liam......thanks for the note. At school I was taught that the way to distinguish the application of ta/ Is was to look for a Permanent or Temporary phrase.....that now seems very broad and open to interpretation.......The noun rule seems much more specific and helpful. I do find this Ta / Is usage one of the most challenging parts of our language......Is as Beal Feirste me o dhuchas......Slan agus GRMA.......Daithi

Great video, can I just ask at time 13.28 Is í an múinteoir is fearr………. How come múinteoir doesn’t get a “h”??
Hey! Thanks very much. It's because 'múinteoir' is masucline, even if it's a female teacher.
GMMA very helpful
Fáilte romhat Sinéad!
why is team not a noun?
