Here's an idea Find out where the city of troy used to be and rename the province to Troy. I think it's Biga which is currently still under kebabman. Troy was where the descendants of those who would found Rome came from.

Agreed. They are just such a powerhouse so often, and even when you kick em hard and early, they always seem to recover. The only time I don't have problems with the Ottomans is when I conquer them completely and early.

Hello there, Good work so far: 'D insane start. You can go for a World conquest. some tipps from my own basileus: ¬Don't make the Ottomans too weak early on as they might get guaranteed by poland as you are their rival which i quite hard to deal with as they are much stronger early on and slows down your expansion. ¬ Don't break all of the ottoman alliances as you can use them to call them into a war if they are getting guaranteed or having strong allies e.g france etc... ¬ Get Teke otherwise mamlukes will take it soon and will continue to rival you in anatolia. (you need Teke for one mission to get claims etc...) ¬ Syria is a very very good vasall. consider taking it early (as it lowers your AE with their cores) and is extremly rich and high developed ¬ Consider taking some of the islands from Aragon before iberian wedding to expand into tunis and nord africa. Aragon is weak as you got naval superiority. Tunis is free dev.( attack Albania so aragon can't call their own allies and take sicily but be aware, if the iberian wedding happens while beeing at war it will be hard to face them ) ¬ Take Religious ideas first as they match extremly well with your National idea set. And the CB is so great as your surrounded by Sunni and Catholic. Hopefully, those tipps are good in some way. Keep it up. Great work. Great Power no.1 by 1500 ?:'D
There’s a lot of that I like! Teke is the key, I don’t think I’ll get it since they’re at war right now. I get claims on the islands after I get the Aegean islands I believe, so that’ll be fine. Iberian wedding could happen any time so it’s hard to say. Syria will make an appearance im sure
After I watched last night, I went ahead and tried to see if I could keep my loose stacks from getting swatted by the main turk army.... I could not lol. I lost the entire navy, couldn't keep them on Constantinople, etc. So again good job.
@@Chewyshoot Sure, vigilance, right? But in this scenario, just like you reiterated on episode 1 about rng. How the rest of the various turks all scented blood and piled in for their turn on Otto, and set the perfect opportunity to grab Bulgaria. When I fired off that initial war, Otto had 0 allies, and I was over relations with Theo, Albania, Treb, and Vlad. It looks like the next big turd in your soup is Venoos
Good run so far. I actually think Otto-man allying Crimea works in your favor, because it's an ally you can Separate Peace pretty easily and he's easier to get to.
If you do end up attacking Albania you could release him, gives you a core return on Venice which could be useful to take Venice's Greek islands. I understand not wanting to attack Naples, it would be a big war and cost a lot of Admin relative to what you get out of it currently. You will get them eventually!

Before annexing Athens try to get an alliance with austria or Hungary, or you're gonna have - 3 dip rep for annexing a subject, and prepare a fleet of heavies to attack Venice for the Aegean Islands, his fleet is bad news, and maybe hope for bizzies separatists to gift you rodes xD
I got to this point and conquered a good amount of Anatolia by allying karaman Then the Mamluks vassalized karaman when I was finally ready to take them out I got destroyed by the Mamluks after that because all my allies decided to not help me
Next time you are at war with either ottomans or karaman, take a province next to karaman or from karaman themselves. This allows you to expand around the otto's into the smaller nations, so you can expand faster
@@Chewyshoot yeah i agree but you're gonna run into the problem that there will be powerful enemies towards your east by the time that you destroyed the ottomans, which will make it much harder. But you will see indeed ;p
You get all kinds of cool in-game notifications (like the Turks getting driven from the west Balkans) that I just don't get (I'm in the midst of a Byzantium campaign myself). Which DLC's are you playing with? I'm assuming that has to be the difference.

Honestly. Good technique. But I must say that Basileus is too easy an achievement for you. You're better than that. Go for reforming Rome. (I mean Basileus is essentially just eating up the Ottomans + Theodoro's island. You're doing WCs as the Dutch, for crying out loud!!) Also, about Granada. It depends. How's your colonial range? Maybe you could get yourself some Iberian land and a new warfront? Then again, that would get you face first into a lot of Castille. On that same note. He hasn't PU'd Aragon yet, as well as Naples being free. I'd say it could be a good idea. If your colonial range is but a myth, forget about everything I said and do whatever pleases you...
I would agree with you. I’m not really looking to snipe little provinces here and there, nor do I plan on colonizing. But a new warfront is a good idea, so I’m thinking maybe you’re right, I should look for a chance to expand into Iberia

Yeah, destroying the Ottomans is awesome, but the Mamluks just take their place.
