Wow! That place is fantastic! I love seeing towers and castle ruins. I don't understand why they made those steps so steep. Imagine having to run up and down them every day. You would have to be 7 feet tall. The views are just amazing from up in the taller rooms. Thank you so much for showing us this grand and magical place. I hope you didn't hurt your ankle when you fell. Have a wonderful weekend, Sue and GV.
Absolutely amazing! You both have such quality content I don't know why people wouldn't subscribe. Sue, I huff and puff getting in and out of bed, those stairs ... no way. Hope you are both well.
The church has castle like features as well. WOW so beautiful. So glad you had ur sweetie with you! That ground was crazy uneven. My knees were hurting just hearing you walk up those old steps. Love ur laughter Sue😂 can you imagine the people who walked before you!? Amazing ❤
What a delight! I loved going into old castles and putting my hand on the ancient stones, thinking of how someone from all that long ago may have put their own hand there. So incredible! Thanks, Sue & GV.
Sue, you've the heart of a lion!! I wouldn't be up those stairs for the world! One of the Butlers - James - became Duke of Ormond (in the English peerage) after the restoration of Charles II in 1660. Ormond was made Lord Lieutenant of Ireland and ruled Ireland for the King during two periods of time during the Restoration era. But seriously - I was thinking you really should have a hard hat on when you go into old ruins. Just in case a stone would come loose and fall on you? I love your videos. ❤️🙏
Thank you Sue and GV for the tour. I couldn’t quite see the large scale of castle size until you went up all the stairs and levels. I visited UK many years ago and toured castles. But never was able to go to Ireland. Majestic filming. Doug in Missouri
I loved this one! Man that ground did look like an ankle turner and all the old stairs in the churches and castles you can tell they were built for much smaller feet. I’m so glad you don’t fall. Fun as always to see you and GV together.
A really enchanted looking place but Sue, I absolutely loved the thumbnail for this video! If something can be creepy and cozy at the same time, that thumbnail is it!
Totally gobsmacked!! What an adventure. That whole place was gorgeous! I still don’t know how you manage those stairs. 😊 I’m glad GV was able to make it up (and back down) those other stairs in one piece as well! Great vid! ❤
Incredible stone work- I can just imagine all the wooden scaffolding needed to erect such a powerful and prominent tower. Thank you for showing us a part of the world I would otherwise never get to see! Love your work!
That was a great video. I miss exploring abandoned places like that but those days are behind me. I take it that tower wasn’t wheelchair accessible. You take care. 😁🐶
God help you climbing those stairs Sue but what a place! What an amazing place to live ( obviously with central heating etc). It’s a shame it hasn’t been restored. Thank you Sue for a really interesting visit to that castle. Xx
What a magnificent cemetary and church. Wow Sue you really went all out and over the top of this video. Loved you reading the stones just loved it all. Thanx. Love you guys you 2 are the best. It's kind of mystical and haunting about it all.😮😮😮❤❤❤😊😊😊
I lived on a farm that had electric fences, to keep the animals in the pasture and my sisters and I would dare each other to touch the fence and get a shock. So you brought up happy memories to me. That’s kind of a scary story, you are so brave to climb those stairs. Be very careful you two, I don’t want to lose either of you, I love you both too much. Thank you for these amazing videos, even when your safety is in jeopardy. I would never be able to go to these awesome places, but because of you Sue and JV I can enjoy these beautiful cemeteries, castles and churches, many thanks again and much love from the US ❤
Thank you for that fantastic tour! I could see me falling in those holes in the uneven ground. I enjoyed seeing the old church grounds. And I try to envision my ancestors back then. Thank you so much for the visit. Take care.❤
Ok if I was camping in that cemetery I'd be camping inside the church 😅 ... Might be safer than outside lol😂 👻 😂🤣🤣🤣touch the fence? Lol. Oh my I just love y'all 😂 sounds like something we'd do. 😳yup I'm sleeping in the church! 😱 man on horse won't get me there I hope 😅. You and steps don't mix well lol always be careful 🙏 Let GV go first down the steps, give you something soft to fall on 😂.jk This is a gorgeous place sue thank you for sharing ❤.
I remember visiting corf/korf castle in England in the late sixties before the family moved to Australia but i don't remember that much of it unfortunately because old structures like that and such are so interesting and intriguing... enjoyed the video thanks once again stay safe from Aussie pete
This is such a Beautiful place & I really have enjoyed taking the tour with the both of you, so exciting to see, interesting, & Beautiful. Wish I had been there. Thank you again.
I live for these beautiful, historic, Ireland's own castles, churches, high towers, cemeteries, and graveyards. I can find the wonders-of-the-world, all right here in Ireland. Thank you Sue and Cathal for bringing all of us to your wonderful corner of your world! XOXO ♥️☘️🇮🇪 Erin go Bragh!
What an absolutely beautiful graveyard and castle. So much history, I love it! What an adventure. Thank you both for taking us there, and God Bless xx Teresa 🇦🇺♥
Love your videos. We live in the US, but have visited Ireland and surrounding areas a handful of times (not enough). We love the abandoned castles, cemeteries, structures and off the grid places. I am hooked on your videos. Ty for making them.
Sue, You just made my day! I was hoping you would find an old Castle to explore, I'm quite fond of OLD Castles and Churches. My eyes never came off the screen the whole video! Be careful and please find more! (Castles) Greetings from the U.S. again.
Hey Sue! Haven't commented in a while, been battling COVID and it's after effects but I always look forward to your videos. Hope to be able to cross the pond someday to visit such beautiful and historic places. For now, I'll find contentment living vicariously through you and your videos 🤣💜. Keep up the great work!
The ruins in Ireland just reek of history. The architecture, the beauty - so much grace in its very existence. In the USA, the closest thing we have to ruins are “ghost towns” - places that were at some point populated not because of churches, but because of location. Mostly gold and silver rushes, crossroads for cattle or train routes which all were abandoned when the reasons for their existence ended. I really enjoy the historical value that these places bring. Thank you for sharing it.
Wow! What a fantastic video Sue. I loved it all. I cant help but wonder what it must have been like back then to breing all the food and supplies up those stairs. 🤔
Love your videos and Gv s. I love listening to you both speak , reminds me of my grandfather and his sister my Aunt Mary Kate. I have never made it to Ireland although always wanted too! At 79:I’ll have to travel thru you and Rick Steves!!! Stay safe and get in out of the cold for a cup of tea!,
I can't, all we have to go on are documentaries and films but you can usually feel the energy. The top felt fantastic but beneath certainly felt creepy
Thanks for taking us, Sue! I thought this episode was very interesting. I really don't know why your numbers aren't higher than they are, they really should be.
This place is totally awesome! Especially the castle. If it is supposed to be haunted, perhaps you can come back next Halloween 🎃 and check it out. Great walking tour, thank you very much Sue and GV. Have a great weekend 😀
Sue, thank you for posting this video. You are braver than me. I could never explore the old churches and cemeteries as you do. I'm too much of a scardy cat. I vosit my Mother's burial site and my brothers. But only with another person. Blessings to you. Ne safe. ❤😊😊
You are far better than I, Sue!! I would never climb the stairs!!! I would break my neck!!😂🤣😂 Absolutely Beautiful! I will never knock a story about someone watching over a once sacred place!! Another Great Episode! Stay warm!! Hit 26F(3C) her on Long Island New York!!!🥶 You guys may need a little glass of a nice Irish Whiskey!!!!😊🥃😌. 🪬🧿♥️🌬️🪦🐂🛡️⚔️🛡️🐎🌬️🪦♥️🧿🪬
