The Dangote Refinery is a big game changer for Nigeria and Africa in general. I am sure it was built by the Chinese because the Europeans would delay or prevent it to come ro light.
The truth is, Africa has the capacity to grow and surpass the Europeans, just that it would spell doom for their economy without our resources, their industries would collapse.
they have delayed our growth for too long, and now the environment has changed, we have the Chinese who are eagerly ready to replace the west. Russia is providing military protection, so we have the opportunity to develop as much as we can.

Europe was never a key supplier but rather a re-supplier of products that they imported and refined. Now that Nigeria, once a supplier of raw minerals and refining their resources, Europe and the Western nations are crying foul as usual. All African nations should refine every mineral found in their country for the world market. Refining Africa's minerals will keep young Africans in Africa for a stronger African economy.

How do you jump to conclusions without knowing the full story of the country? Who told you Nigeria did not have any refineries? The country has at least 4 or 5 large refineries in operation right now, and the Dangote refinery is just the biggest and newest. The country was simply not self-sufficient in refined petroleum products, and needed to import same, but the Dangote refinery has ensured self-sufficiency as well as multiplied export capacity, positioning Nigeria as the biggest exporter of refined petroleum products, eg, gasoline, diesel, aviation fuel, kerosene, etc. in Africa. It's a massive step in the industrialisation of Nigeria.

@jahmala5336 If you could only use Google. U would see all this information. It's not hidden. 3 official refineries have existed and functioned since 1970s. Due to poor maintenance, they had become suboptimal upto around 2015. This has been the period when Nigeria sold the crude and imported refined products. However, Dangote had started building, so had other companies like BUA, greenfield and others. Some were smaller modular refineries. As at 2024, there are probably about 8 refineries working now.

Within Europe, decarbonisation is the main driver for reduced demand for refined oil products. So we just don't need this polluting energy souce as much anymore.

Ignorance truly is bliss, and it’s evident that education is far from a scam-it’s a necessity. Your statements reveal a glaring lack of understanding about government, policy, and the economy. It’s almost as if you’ve never taken the time to engage with credible news sources, analyze business policies, or even attempt to understand how these systems function. Instead, you seem to rely on baseless assumptions and unfounded opinions, spouting whatever comes to mind without any semblance of critical thinking or factual backing.
Your approach reflects a troubling disregard for informed discourse. Have you ever spent even a single day listening to news updates, reading about economic policies, or exploring how government decisions impact society? It doesn’t seem so. Your comments come across as uninformed and reactionary, lacking the depth and nuance that come from genuine education and awareness.
Critical thinking requires effort-it means questioning assumptions, seeking evidence, and understanding context. Yet, you appear to bypass all of that, choosing instead to voice opinions that are not only unsubstantiated but also disconnected from reality. If you took the time to educate yourself, you’d realize how much more productive and meaningful conversations can be when they’re rooted in knowledge rather than ignorance.
In short, your lack of awareness about these critical topics is glaring, and it’s a reminder of why education is so vital. Without it, we risk perpetuating misinformation and shallow thinking, which only hinders progress and understanding. It’s time to step up, educate yourself, and engage in discussions with the depth and respect they deserve.

Tinubu is smarter than you think. Just watch and see how he’ll transform Nigeria to greatness. No more Fulani President in Nigeria again.
