- What Dangote Oil Refinery Just Did Changes Everything! European Oil Markets In Shambles? The Dangote Oil Refinery has just sent shockwaves through the global energy markets, with its latest move threatening to reshape the balance of power in the oil and gas industry. As Nigeria’s state-of-the-art oil refinery begins full-scale operations, it is poised to significantly impact oil prices, alter supply chains, and disrupt European energy markets that have long relied on traditional sources of supply of refined oil for most African countries. With a massive refining capacity of 650,000 barrels per day, the refinery's ability to process crude oil domestically reduces Nigeria’s dependency on imports while increasing its export potential. This game-changing shift is already influencing oil price charts and has experts revising their oil price forecast, as Africa's largest refinery becomes a dominant player in global energy dynamics.
The ripple effect of this development extends beyond just oil price news-it is also affecting natural gas prices as supply chains adjust to the new market reality. European nations, already struggling with volatile natural gas price fluctuations due to geopolitical tensions, now face another challenge: increased competition from Africa’s emerging energy powerhouse. Investors are closely watching oil price stocks, while analysts assess how the refinery's output will influence the crude oil news cycle in the coming months. Could this be the beginning of a new era where African nations dictate the terms of the global energy trade? With the Dangote Oil Refinery ramping up production, the future of international oil markets is more uncertain than ever.

I'm so happy for the Nigerian achievement. More power to mr. Dangote's work.
its a good start for Dangote , refine and processing all kind of products ...africa can innovate etc.
Time for Nigeria to accept its role as the most powerful black economy in the world. Wake up, Nigeria 🇳🇬
It is better late than never, bravo Nigeria!🎉
Anyone else noticed that there were no foreign expatriates (Europeans, Asians or Arab men) working on the Dangote refinery plant, only black Africans?
If 10 or 20 years ago, you'd have seen many foreign expatriates who aren't African building the refinery.
This alone clearly tells you that Africa is rising fast.
There are quite a number of Asians- Indians to be precise, but it is a win - win overtime there will be much more Nigerians with requisite skills-set.
@@niiade515 Not as much as there used to be on even projects quite smaller and less complicated than his refinery.
I was in Port Harcourt when the LNG project was built in Bony Island, aside from the Italians, Americans, Turkish as well as European expatriates who occupied every inch and aspect of Bony Island, the amount of South Koreans who were there just to provide basic transport logistics through their company (DAEWOO), almost formed their own little town or living estate that was carved out for them.
Exactly

Go Mr. Dangote, go sir,
Africa and black people are behind you. May Yah lead and protect you.
STAND, STAND STRONG AFRICA STAND STRONG TOGETHER
May God continue to bless Nigeria and Africa
It is unbelievable that Africa still exports its natural resources only to buy back the refined product at a higher cost. I suggest Ethiopia build crude oil pipelines from South Sudan and build a refinery facility. This will have a huge impact on Ethiopia economy and reduce its high cost for imports of refined products and cost of port.
Speak Ye Comfortably to Nigeria and Cry unto Her that Her Warfare is accomplished and that Her Iniquity is Pardoned and the Most High has Restored unto Her Double of all the Good things She lost 🙏
For Hundreds of Years, Europe & America has been built with Resources from Africa, yet, Europe ,& America is Not Satisfied that the Time has come to Help Impoverished Africa Grow🙏

Aside from, this 650,000bpd Dangote refinaries, Nigeria has;-
1. 450,000bpd port Harcourt, warri and kaduna government owned refinaries recently reactivated or nearing completion.
2. 200,000bpd BUA Refinaries Akwa Ibom coming on stream this year 2025.
3. 100,000bpd x 2 refinaries comming up in Lagos and port Harcourt.
4. 10 modular refinaries completed or nearing completion. Etc.
Things can only get better with about $25billion investment by ExxonMobil, Shell, texaco and chevron oil major in Nigeria offshore crude oil production.. God bless Africa.
So all these woke up after Dangote right? at least it gave them a kick to the back side and probably dealt corruption a huge blow. Bigup to Dangote, He started a revolution and hoping politicians wake up proper africa wide
Great news!! Africa is well on it's way to global dominance.
Kudos to Dangote and kudos PMB economic policies that gave birth to Dangote refinery.
This man is hands down the most revolutionary pan african business man in african history. He does things that the common man with sense would do for his family and people if they had his wealth
Yes africa must integrate to grow it markets.

Who is that Indian dude who's the right hand of Dangote everytime you see him. The trust Dangote has in this man should mesmerize a lot of people.
Let's be honest guys. Let's be honest and have more ethical values, we Africans. We lack it a lot.
Let’s go Africa. Rise, rise to the very top to where you’re to be, rise.
The Nigerian government should act sharp and build a naval base to proactively protect the Dangote refinery from external sabotage and subversive aggressions!
Better to be safe than sorry !
👊🏾🇳🇬👊🏾🇳🇬!!!
Well said
4:03 pause and imagine pipelines stretching out all over Africa from Nigeria! Wow why don’t our leaders have vision?
African will be great
African markets first!
You see it that is why I say Africa should start with trading with in Africa there's 54 country that is naily 1 billion people Africa must trade within Africa first and then
Do the same with steel, leather, peanuts etc

Despite western efforts Nigeria got this done. Kudos to them. Our giant showed itself.😂
HOW EUROPE IS GOING TO INNOVATE QUICKLY TO REMAIN COMPETITIVE WHEN THEY DON'T HAVE OIL?
✊🏼
Corruption and incompetence of Nigeria's leadership is holding back the greatness of the country. Our President's nephew holds exclusive contract to import refined petroleum products into Nigeria. So, the President created condition that increased price of fuel, thereby further enriching their family.
THIS IS NOT ONLY OIL
IT IS COMING TO COFFEE COCOA GOLD DIAMOND URANIUM LITHIUM
HOW CAN EUROPEAN WHO DON'T HAVE OIL ARE THE ONES RUNNING THE OIL BUSINESS?
@yankekodiane4783 how can y guy, The one who doesn't have Cacao, run the chocolate business?
😂.
This is because we are living in a world where the finite product is worth more than the basic product used to create it.

Yes he refines

TINUBU IS NOT CELEBRATING DAGONTE S ACHIEVEMENT
WE ARE WATCHING TINUBU AND WE CAN SEE HIM
I don't believe this. the conclusion is hasty. I don't think Dangote refinery is operating at 100 % yet because if it does it would have impacted the country dollar exchange rate. Also 890 per liter is still too high. It still.need to drop to 400 per liter. Even then the refinery is still making a lot of money. On the job front, over 30000 indians were imported as staff to work at the refinery...
Overstating the point by a lot.
drastic price cut my foot.
@@zorhos If you are buying in large scale. You would understand how drastic it is.
Do u want to compare it with the price of fuel sold in the global market? Remember Nigeria is also under OPEC.
Hehe I agree, should go back to 200
your framing is unnecessarily antagonistic. Africa, Dangote, is not out to challenge Europe or cut Europe off! Africa is doing Africa. The Europeans always think in Zero-sum ways; they will have to get over that and come around to Win-Win thinking!
