It wasn't exactly vetoed. At the time the NBA was the owner of the Hornets so they went with the clippers offer because it was a better one. It was also a good move because it helped resurrect a franchise that had been irrelevant for decades

Look as a Suns fan for almost 30 years this dude is incredible. Did so much for our squad that wound up being credited to Monty. He played at an elite level until he turned 37 and still came back for a pretty solid season afterwards. So glad I got to see him and Steve Nash play for Phoenix.

I’m a New Orleans fan since when they had Baron Davis… watching CP3 in their playoffs vs the Spurs, Suns way back in 07/08 was some of the most exciting basketball I’ve ever seen. CP3’s squad was always the underdog but always achieved. I watched all the Thunder Suns Warriors games to date because he’s on the team. Top 5 PG OAT! He’ll break some records this season too…moving up the all time lists in so many categories.

CP3 is the most tactical-savy player ever. He takes any opportunity to get the edge over opponents better than anyone. People hate him for the same reason they hate Mayweather. Should be able to win with them if he really was an elite/one of the best if not the best PG. Lebron (Cav) Giannis (Bucks) can win without so much help at least once.. If you got KD or Curry in your Team, you should be able to win just like Bron and Giannis again. He is just an overhype i might say..

1 correction:
CP's Thunder wasn’t the 8th seed. They were the 5th seed (tied for 4th).
07-09 wasn't his prime, that was his peak. His prime lasted from 07-17/18 and had a resurgence that okc year and his first suns year
His second year in the suns was very good also.
