Bougainville is an integral part of PNG and I really feel for our parents, brothers, sisters who will abandon, and break away from us forever. Our members must vote on a good conscience and not on emotions.
PNG has every reason to fund Bougainville since it was Panguna mine in Bougainville that pushed PNG to achieve it's independence in 1975.William Duma please do have some sense to at least recognize this vital issue which was the issues of 1960's. And yeah don't let senseless animals who don't have emotions control you.
You can fight as long as you wish, it will not happen. Boungainville is an intergral part of PNG and will always be. PNG Consitution is Supreme and speaks louder.
So Patriotic. No man is above the Law even God himself honors his word. This issue is no something we let emotion to drive us. It is a very sensitive issue and what is done now will have a lasting impact not just AROB but PNG as well. I can say that Hon Duma was speaking pure wisdom.🙏
Bougainville is a province out 22 provinces in PNG, be realistic on issue of independence, you open the eyes of other provinces to break away. W. Duma with best statement, we must based on constitution not on our emotional. 🎉
Your political party's name define your speech.. to gain independence you have to show your superior that you are capable of managing little things(funding) given...etc...
Papua New Guinea is an unconventional country no referendum was ever conducted in Papua or New Guinea to merge these two different Territories. Bougainville have met the international requirements such referendum so it is only legal to grant their wish.
It was a non-binding vote, meaning illegal vote, has no value. Watch, Parliament will vote NO as it is against the constitution and will be flashed into the toilet. Do not waste your time talking about this, as it wont happen. Bougainvillea is a Province of PNG and will always be...
Well, give them independence. After a year, all Bougainvilleans should vacate PNG completely. No half-blood or Tambu business... If 97% voted to seperate, than leave PNG with pride and integrity as a free people.
Don't lead with emotions. It's about time. We are one. United we stand, if we were to be separated or divided we will fall. I suggest this young leaders today must digest this issues first, have ample time to think about it, and then next year we deal with the matter. There are more important issues to settle, at hand right now.
We,simply just can't let our emotional feeling, make harsh decision that will have an impact throughout the country, lets, be real people, it's not a walk in the park issue, its something, that will certainly have a lasting effect on all of the country, constitution has to be amended to justify its part way in granting them greater autonomy or independence,so its not something easy,to make rush or harsh decision!!
There are requirements to be meet before Independence. If it becomes a failed state after independence, the burden falls on PNG to subsidise and maintain basic duties again. PNG would be put under allot of pressure by neighbouring Australia for failing to assess Bougainville before granting them independence. It's a responsibility and not some decision to be taken lightly

A non-binding vote, has no value to UN or anyone else. Hon PM is talking about reality. National Parliament will reject the results outright...Watch!
Such a strong leader talk who is not riding on emotions.
Without amendments to the PNG constitution, I find it difficult to envision independence for Bougainville.
