Air fried my first Turkey for Thanksgiving, a 14 pounder, and it was FABULOUS! SO MUCH cleaner and safer than frying. ❤ I'm doing another one for Christmas, but we'll have 35 people for Christmas dinner and the turkey is 26.5 lbs. 😮 My oven has air fry, so space isn't a concern, but I wonder if it's too big? Any input is appreciated. Great video! Thanks
Thank you for your insight. That's what I was thinking. My oven shuts off automatically when the bird hits desired temp. If I set the temp to 150 plugging into the thigh, when it shuts off I can switch to AirFry, set the temp to 165 to finish and crisp the skin. @@KennasKitchen 🙏
tip: tie the wings and legs with string so it doesn't flop around, hook the turkey and hang it on a rod in the big easy, without using the cage, less clean up involved
I got one this year, for my Bday. Used it to fry turkey on Thanksgiving my 1st time frying turkey. It was the star of the show!
So glad to hear that!! It’s always a good feeling putting out a delicious Turkey 🦃 The possibilities are endless with the Big Easy! Congrats!
@@KennasKitchen Yes indeedy!!
what kind of thermometer did you use - the one with the big display screen?
Its a Weber Connect Pro Wifi Thermometer

Hmmmm. you could cook it for a bit at a lower temp then give it a good air crisping to finish it off. Since youre keeping it in the oven anyway.

My favorite!
That looks amazing!! I usually cook mine in a bag but this way might be my new way!! Happy thanksgiving! Love you both!!
Do you use unsalted or salted butter?
Salted most times
Need to move the hose away from the side of the fryer. It's laying against the side

I’ll definitely have to give this a try. Thanks:)
The manual says to separate the legs and wings so it cooks evenly…
What’s your favorite way to cook a turkey?
Nothing worse than an oil fire on Thanksgiving 🤦🏻♂️
Nothin like inviting the fire department to dinner 🔥
its dry af.. no thanks
I've done 2 turkeys and probably 20 chickens in my Big Easys and none of them have been dry, all moist as heck.
