What was the first handheld you bought with your own money?
It was a Majora's Mask-themed New Nintendo 3DS XL that I got for a steal and a song from this guy who made it big trading crypto and spent all his savings living out his childhood video game collecting dream. H bought too many copies of the Majora's Mask 3DS so was selling his extras for a pittance! XD

Unfortunately, I had to sell it due to financial reasons, and I've regretted it ever since. I hope you've kept yours, as it was such a cool device!

Audio mixing is a little rough, music comes blasting in loud af as it cuts from you whispering into the mic. Otherwise good review.

Oh man right in the feels with the gameboy stuff. My family was too poor to buy me one so i only ever got to play with a friend's. I still spent hours and hours on those gbc zelda games. Good times.

Well i have the RGB 30....I honestly am NOT going to spend 400 for an Anologue when i already own all original systems. I got the white one and did pay for little extra for the loaded 128gb card, case and glass screen protector. It is an awesome way to spend 100 bucks, IMO. Great video

I have an Odin Lite but I am def going to pick one of these up... the all black one looks great.. the whole device seems to fade into the background while playing games.
I totally get what you mean! The all black is really sleek and it's like it disappears while you're gaming. It's all about that immersive experience, right? Can't wait for you to get your hands on one!
How's the fast forward performance on this for GBA on pokemon? Miyoo mini plus is rather slow and im considering this as an alternative.
is there an option to change the screen color in gameboy? like the original green like color?
is the fast forward feature (that you use in Pokemon) exclusive to this sort of device? or it's available in other devices also like on the miyoo mini plus or others?
The fast forward feature is actually quite common and not exclusive to this device, so you'll find it in many others as well. 😊
I changed the play button setting and now i cannot enter the setting agin is there any thing i can do to fix it ? thanks
Some other reviewers said that the device gets hot/warm. Did you notice it too? Or was it not warm/hot when playing the GBC / GBA type games? Thx
I didn't notice any heating issues during all my testing. 😊
One more question: how does bluetooth work on those types of devices? Does it allow to connect to a TV screen (without the need of an HDMI cable which would be annoying and far from the couch)? Does it also allow to use Bluetooth headphones?

I haven't had a chance to fully test the Bluetooth on this device yet. Typically, Bluetooth is used for headphones and wireless controllers. If you want to connect it to your TV, you'd need an HDMI connection. But you can get creative and use both together, plugging in the handheld via HDMI while playing with a Bluetooth controller. 😄

I see a lot of purely retro games reviewed on these devices. It would be great to see other Linux games. Things like Ori, Hollow Knight, Celeste. Just a thought.

@@Hyperfixd After some research, they would require Port Master on most of these handhelds, but no one else is really showing retro-style modern games on these smaller consoles
indie games tend to use too much power for smaller devices thats why those kind of games are common in android/windows handheld reviews
So they include roms with or without the sd card or additional sd card?
The deal with the micro SD can be a bit tricky. Some purchases include a pre-loaded micro SD, but be cautious with those bundled "games" - they often come with a low-quality, no-brand card that tends to give up the ghost after a while. It's usually better to skip the included SD and invest in a higher-quality one. Roms are readily available, so shelling out extra for a no-brand card might not be the best move.
I cannot find any mario games on mine any were for any console. But i have every other game i got the 128gb rgb30. Any ideas man? Any help is greatly appreciated
I think they are trying to avoid being sued by Nintendo.
You can probably find them ("mario romset") somewhere on the internet without looking too hard..

@@Hyperfixd thanks mate. You got to try the rgb30 max 3 by the way? It is a bit confusing what to get ;) I will have a bit of fun with the rgb30 before I look for a 16:9 screen :) (rp 3+, rgb10 pro max 3, r405m etc so many on the market...)
@@jd5787 I've tried a lot of devices but not the RGB10 Pro max 3 and from what I've seen I don't think I will but I love the RP3+ and the RP Flip so I highly recommend them for 16:9 gaming.
Great video, some constructive criticism.
Your voice is a little low in the mix, and your game demo sections are a little long, we only need a few seconds to see how each individual game runs imo.

"Does not hold a candle to the Analogue Pocket". Is the difference really so great?
I want to get this but the reviews I read it makes me wanna hold off. Many people have mentioned after a few months the screen just stop working.
I wouldn't let something like that stop you from enjoying this awesome device, though I totally get where you're coming from. From my own experience, Powkiddy has been pretty good at taking care of issues, especially when I've bought from Aliexpress. 😊

Can this thing handle Yoshi's Island on SNES? It seems like that game has always been a good benchmark for an emulator's 2d capabilities.

Can it play online wifi?
Hey there! This device does have Wi-Fi, but I'm not entirely sure which games you'd be able to play online because it doesn't have Android.

Yeah, a lot of these handhelds stick to that limit since it helps control the charging wattage for safety.
First thing you say is "Forget your analogue Pocket" and you have spent zero time comparing it to the RGB30 side by side in your video. Did I miss something?
I mentioned the comparison between the RGB30 and the Analogue Pocket, mainly because of their similar aspect ratios. Since the Analogue Pocket can be quite challenging to purchase directly from Analogue, I suggest considering the RGB30 as a more accessible alternative. another mini uncomfortable console, why there is not any big comfortable handheld available?
You know what, I'd say there might be more big handhelds too, but I'm totally with you on wanting something comfy with a good grip. Exciting news - my Odin 2 is arriving today or tomorrow! Keep an eye out for that unboxing video!

Yeah I completely understand it’s tough finding a good balance for value, performance and size but maybe that’s part of the fun.
@@Hyperfixd only the expensive handhelds 300$ and more have a comfortable size, everything else looks nice because you can put it in your pocker, but it's completely uncomfortable and needs a grip, so what it the point of making it small if you need a grip and it becomes big :)
You've got a point! Smaller handhelds might look sleek for pocketability, but when you need a grip, they become less practical. It's like they end up big anyway. 😄
