Believe it or not, the 999 door hype brought a lot of new faces to Tibia. I made this video in the hopes of helping new players get a general idea of what Tibia is, where to go, what to be, etc. Hopefully this helps anyone out there new to the game. Enjoy!

I scrapped this video at least 3 times before finally settling on this. I know it’s still kind of long, but I wanted to make sure I at least explained the basics in addition to some fun stuff in Tibia without going into TOO much detail (first video had 6 minutes of just explaining the options menu lol). Hope this helps any of you new players or anyone looking to get a friend into Tibia!
Dude can u make a long 30 min video about getting from lvl 8 to succeed in tibia. That would help a lot of beginners.
Great video, ill use it to convince friends to join tibia. Btw, you kind of avoided the explanation about tibia worlds: Hardcore PVP, Open PVP , and Optional PVP wich i think is pretty important, but well, great video anyways.

dragoezcurra It definitely is important, which is why I cut that part out because I think it's worthy of its own video rather than a quick explanation :P. Might do that sometime.
everything i s great, you are making videos of tibia, people are starting wondering "mayby i should try it" - buy did you mention the most important things?:
Cipsoft doesnt care about players AT ALL - they dont fucking care about upgrading their game, pvp is shittty, pve is shitty, they DEFINITELY DONT BAN BOTS (i was just checking my loooooooooong list of reported botters - nothing, reported insulting statements - resolved in 1 day (i got deleted because we were joking on world channel with oher guy saying some swearing words to each other and some kind person reported me :D)).
All they do is adding another PREMIUM buttons in game and adding some outfits once every 6 months (famous winter/summer updates)
They are just sitting and waiting for money from PACC instead of working on tibia...
They need to bring back GM's and CM's
CipSoft should give you a reward for this video
As a Brazillian I've always seen lots of my friends being really into this game but always found it intimidating to get into, especially since I was already playing some more beginnner friendly mmos.
Now I've finally decided to give it a try over a decade lately and your material really helped me get started.

Erik, can we get a new video like this that takes into account all the new stuff like rewards, beast, prey, etc and maybe touch upon difference between new/old server. Whenever I'm making a mage on Dawnport I like to walk through the Knight gate throw the shield on the ground. Walk through the corresponding mage gate then go pick the shield up and throw the spell book down. Shield has higher defense and usually keeps me from having to run even from large groups of enemies with just casting Exura Infir to heal up.
I've never thought to do that lol. Good tip.

Things you should always carry on you:
Backpack (duh)
Shovel
Rope
Fishing Rod/worms or meat
Potions (mana and health)
Optional:
Machete (if you start in venore)
Pick (if you hunt dwarfs)
A low level weapon to train you melee skill (knights and paladins)

Played this game probably over 15+years ago...I wasn't good at the game since I was just a kid and had no idea what I was doing and got killed a lot by random players and stuff. But it was a fun memory and watching this is quite nostalgic haha.
I don't really think it is a good game for "new" players though, and if you are not premium you didn't get to use a lot of spells and many features in the game. But I guess it's pretty cool for a returning player for the nostalgic feel. Man, when I played I don't even think mounts existed!

You have to have a character on the mission in the In Service of Yalahar quest to charge them.
You mean stucked in that particular mission, or i can still do it with my main who finished Yalahar quest?.

Do you like spawns you can hunt one by one? Try SDing Goroma Serpent Spawns, it should be profitable and decent exp.

2 things, there are more tombs and why should a sorc stay away from cyclops but a druid not? Its like the same .. the lvl 19 wand helps.
If I pay the 3 bucks to get premium and then go to one of the premium islands, do I get to stay on that island when the 10 days expire?
i haven't played this since 2004 and have been really tossing around the idea of getting back into it. is the game in a good spot for new solo players?
Late answer, I know, but yeah, with the imbuement system low lvls got a huuuge boost in being able to loot items which you can sell on the market (a system like any auction house found in your depot) for money. And also, the imbuements can make you hit like a truck, give you hp/mana leech and so much more! You got nothing to loose :D

You can still go there, but it's not the default starting area. People have been asking me for captions in other languages, but I don't know if it's worth translating with Google because I feel like it's going to be really shitty lol.
No, I'm from Poland and I understand English, so I can make Polish captions without Google and (I hope) it will be accurate :) Also it's very sad for my that they've cut the original Tibia intro, it was a part of very good memories, and now Rookgaard adventure starts in a temple *_* it's just not the same, man.
Chubercik Yeah, I can't blame them though because Rookgaard didn't teach you much about the vocations. Maybe they could've added the pedestal things they have now though so we could've hunted Rookgaard as our respective vocations. Oh well.
Hey man, I got a question. Is there any way to get those items that seem to be out of range because you can't move closer? Also, what about those items that are in unaccessible mountains? I'm trying to get into Tibia again. last time I played was almost 5 years ago.
There are certain squares in Tibia you can throw to but not reach and that don't get cleaned every day. Those are the places you see with stacks of items. You can't reach them :P

can u change ur server after u already made ur character on it? can u play that same character on any other server?
You can pay for a character world transfer, but you can only transfer to more restricted PvP types. For example, Hardcore PvP can transfer to Open and Optional, while Optional PvP can only transfer to other Optional worlds. Open PvP can transfer to Open worlds OR Optional, because Optional is more restricted in its PvP system.

also idk what character building is like, but is there much reason to make multiple characters of the same vocation but with different builds (like diablo 2)? or is it like runescape where u can sort of do everything on the one character.
Well there's no reason for more than one character of the same vocation, but it's not like Runescape where you can do it all on one. Think of it like a World of Warcraft class, except there are no talent builds.

There are four vocations, but yeah, every druid is identical, every knight is identical, every paladin is identical, and every sorcerer is identical.
I have a level 86 paladin. But i haven't played in over 7 years! I want to come back, but im kind of afraid/overwhelmed of how much the game has changed and need to almost relearn the whole thing.

you can still used range weapons, basic bows and assassin starts
Unless the item says it is specifically used for a vocation then you can use it. But your skills advance very slowly if you aren't the correct vocation. For instance, a mage can use a bow, but your distance skill will take a very long time to reach even 25, at which point you still hit very low and miss often.

Any tips on the best way to raise ML for a MS/ED? Eg: Via hunting with spells or rune making then heading to the spike
Best way as a sorcerer would be to hunt with spells and make magic walls once you reach full soul points. If you're a druid, you're gonna have to make a different kind of rune and you'll lose money in the process. I don't think they have a single profitable rune.

What level would you suggest? I'm currently 110 RP, was thinking about maybe trying that floor once I finish some more tasks. Know you can task Hydras, SS, and Medusae, so seems perfect.

How do you walk with wasd? I can't find a way to switch from arrows
with tibia 11 go to the hotkeys and bind a key to turn the chat on and off. once you turn the chat off with a hotkey you can use WASD ect ect..

I have a problem. When i use spell it uses it where my character is looking. How can i make that the spell will be used where i have my cursor ?
This is impossilbe stricking spells will be hit to monster you attack while beam spells hits where you look. Use ctrl +arrow for faster changing the position you look

I want to start a new chart on Dolera, already created one, was training all days, the question is what vocation is better to play on dolera? for example i play for fun, join a guild to kill some bastards and profit. i dont care about money really. And i was thinkin on ed/ms/rp because knight is just a tank slow waiting for someone to annihilated your ass.

Play an ED if you think you're going to get a high level, otherwise play MS.

Eric / Psykik It's been a while since I lvld up a char. Druid has been my favorite class sincd the old days. The thing is that druid seems to be a better version of sorcerer. I know sorcerer used to be the pvp god years ago, but what's the point of lvling a sorc nowadays? Are the offensive spells worth enough to avoid druid's healing spells and not create a damage dealer and healer at the same character?

I have on question. May sounds wierd but are there any Type Effectiveness? Cause i am durid on Tibia and my friend a Knite.It seemed my friend had No problem killing the Mountain Trols and Salamender Troll trained , and i was struggling with them. When we reached skeleton/Undead area i was doing insane amouns of damage(Durid) like 18-27 on skeleton and my friend 10-7. So i think. Are there any Type Effectiveness? If you know reply please
EpicGamer yeah, there are effectiveness. For example, a dragon should take more damage from ice than fire
EpicGamer plus it, knights need to train skills (sword/axe/club fighting) to hit harder, and mages can do consistent damage with wands and rods, despite their skills (magic level)

Pretty much! Tibia is a very open world sandbox-esque game. There's no real quest line to follow so you just have to explore and find monsters to hunt to make your character more powerful.
it's very confusing but i guess i'll get use to it. there is a real potential on the game, i'll try my best. Good video, very educationnal :) keep thegood job going (sry 4the bad english)
nice video! though i would not recommend port hope to new players as there are several trap holes in the south (some quite dangerous, crowded with coryms)
