30:17 I've definitely said that to myself. lol 100% agree that preorders lose their luster when you know about them too far out in advance. I've cancelled so many preorders where I was super excited when they first got announced, but I just wasn't feeling it after a while. I definitely love it when I find something in store, but more and more I have to settle for online and the anxiety it brings. I also have terrible luck when it comes to ordering things online so every 1/3 orders gets lost, damaged, or some other mistake is made, and it's exhausting to have to constantly contact customer service to fix things, so getting things in store is a lot less stressful for me.

I agree ,i cancel more often than keep a preorder having had time to evaluate whether i really want it or not . Ofcourse when you cancel stuff these online stores will cancel your orders you really want so its a tricky thing . Im ordering less now and if i dont get it its ok im winding down collecting its too much of a hassle now .
I almost exclusively buy online. I live in L.A. and when new items do eventually arrive on shelves my odds of finding them are very slim. So I preorder online what I know I want to guarantee I'll get it. I watch your Toy Hunt videos and that is what I don't want to do, drive all over town only to be disappointed.
Great ep!👏🏽 I actually teach my son both ways (appreciate what you have and lets get rid of these to get new ones) Nate impression was spot on weve all been there 😂😂😂! I think alot will go online some will stay in store. Also again Nate was right my son is aggressively hooked on Legos so it is a main stay if they keep up there catalogue. 💪🏽💪🏽👍🏽💯
I guess I’m ready. But I Iike to see what I buy in hand before I buy. And how will you have a impulse buy online? Half the time I can’t find stuff in store but it’s nice to have an opportunity to do so. Yes Target has a Disney section near the kids section in my local ones. It’s where you find most of the Star Wars figures now, not on the main toy aisle.
I see more of the collector type toys going more to being online exclusives. I don't do preorder anymore and I am very choosy on what I order online now. Credit card rates are still going up and I don't see the benefit of paying for something where over a 1/4 of it will be fees, especially if you carry over your balances month to month. Another thing with online ordering is missing out because the item sells out in seconds and then you check the secondary markets and those items can be 2, 3, or 4 times they were posted for.
@@ModernToyfare nah this was years before this was announced, i'd go into a store and it's all modernized but with no toy isles to be found anywhere

A preorder doesnt gurantee you will actually get the toy unless you keep hundreds of dollars in the bank so companies can snatch it any time they like ,which i will not do . The best strategy is to order everywhere and hope they do not all drop at the same time . These online stores have no loyalty to anyone and i have none to them .

Honestly, same. If they cancel something I haven't already cancelled, that just helps me by making my decision easier.
Ima need you to keep Cory on as the fourth co-host.
Thanks!!
Glad you guys talked about this.
That’s more or less what we have to do with 90% of buying action figures in the UK
Truth. Forbidden Planet is almost the only real bricks'n'mortar option.

Buying online Is great but I hope it never gets to that. The hint has always been part of the toy shopping.

I had nightmares about this.
I feel like we all have at some point

What the heck!?!? Hey guys!
I already buy everything online, why not my fingers. Other then comic cons.
