@bloodysecret70 In Episode 52 just past the credits Miaka's brother explains. He says that Taka is a boy who recently transferred the his school. Taka apparently has had visions since he was a boy of a previous life, in which he was part of 7 warriors and remembers his promise to always be with Miaka. Only reason I know, is cause I just finished the anime today.

Miaka and Tamahome ALWAYS have problems. If something is affecting the Universe of the Four Gods hell somehow in someway it's gonna cause drama for their relationship. UGGGHHH...still a better love story than Twilight. xDDD
I love, LOVE, Fushigi Yugi, but honestly I thought allowing the Suzaku warriors to leave the book and be reincarnated just killed credibility. It's like saying that Miaka and Tamahome's love was stronger than all the others; so strong that the others came with. That would F up the UFG majorly! The characters LEFT! No characters, no book. He was reincarnated and older than Miaka, which made no sense timeline wise. He would have to have been born as Taka before she entered the book. It's just garbage in my opinion. NOW, that being said. I'd be way more on board for an animated version of the Genbu and Byakko stories because they seem WAY more fascinating and make more sense and the endings are more fitting. The book doesn't belong to Miaka, so the cycle should continue unbroken. It's just too Suzaku-centric.
Wait they all got reincarnated in Miaka world? Or just Taka? because when the book disappears at the end I was like wait wait wait.. does that mean everyone is dead now because the book no longer exists? I’m so confused 🤦🏻♀️
I think what had happened was that like they placed Tamahome in that world with his own memories of the other world but also with memories of having a life in the real world......having parents, going to school, growing up there...he has his own place in the world...I think so i am not sure its been a while since I have watched this lol I may have not explained it well
i really like this story..hoping for another story of fushigi yuugi..maybe still the continuation of this never ending love story...the stories continue.....plzzzz!!!!!

Pen Thao taka is tamahomes reincarnation in miakas world therefore they can be with each other with tamahomes memories in taka. I hope it helps u
