1:38 The laundry room scene is just classic! First she dumps in a whole gallon of Clorox on top of COLORS then adds a yard of dryer sheets (the dryer sheets came in rolls back then)! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I watched this for the first time last night. She is amazing in this. Her house in this movie changed my life and made me obsessed with this aesthetic. Which became a problem because I’ve been a goth since 5th grade (28 years) and my whole house/wardrobe is black. 😅
@@fromthehaven94you can tell that Orion Pictures advertised the movie in hopes that star power would bring in a wide audience. That didn't work, but the movie has proven to be a popular one thanks to home media.

"In case you don't know it Bob.. AM AN ARTIST" kills me hahahah
Would love to see this one. Meryl Streep is versatile actress and can play any part.
Meryl Streep is extremely gifted in so many ways. A superb performance!
SHE IS PHENOMENAL IN THIS! I have watched it so many times just for Mary Fisher.

She doesn't know how to do laundry but writes a book called Love In the Rinse Cycle.
@@mattezrap Which flopped terribly
The little pause she does before picking the dryer sheets like “ok now what?”

Pink is the New black
No this house is perfection. I paused the movie to look it up and sadly it was demolished in 2017 😢

She really is beautiful
"You know you're the only woman I've ever been faithful to!"
Genius on the part of the composer, who quotes (at 2:17) Mussorgsky's "Night on Bald Mountain". (Paraphrases, anyway).
It's a metaphor!
- A what?!
❤😁👍
Brilliant 😂

Roseanne is the housewife, MS is the romance novelist...
Yep. Meryl is a supporting character despite getting lead billing.

@@fromthehaven94 I would say she's one of the leads.
@@yevgeniyaleshchenko849 But not the main character.
Meryl Streep purposely did this role, because she wasn't known for comedy and saw it as a challenge.
She stole the movie. 😂😂😂
Meryl was the only good thing in this movie 👏
