i am absolutely in love with this case. its absolutely perfect for me. the only thing it lacks in is drive mounts but my server uses nvme raid cards anyways. like im probably gonna own like 5 or 6 of these. the ssi-eeb compatibility is the big selling point for me since i have a few of the aliexpress dual x99 mobos in action right now and their cases are hardly big enough
Very cool case. I noticed that using the fan box prevents you from using network cards, so you would be limited to on-board networking. Given the low number of drive bays, m.2 SSDs is probably the only option for fast storage here.
Thanks for the detailed review. I'm looking for something high quality like this with potential to be rack mounted but also ability to take off site. My only issue with this is that it has the bars between the PCIe boards on the rear. I'm using FGPA boards that have vents over the full surface of the PCIe plate, I'm finding these are blocked by the bars between boards on standard rack cases. On modern gaming cases they do away with the bars and it's possible for these boards to properly vent. I'm not sure what that style is called. Have you seen any rack mount units with that style?
I recently built a Sliger CX4712 and for my use at home it offers a bit more but this is a nicely designed option if you don't need a ton of HDD's but do need GPU's and the option of using an ATX PSU. I wonder if those cables for HDD/SSD's can be swapped if you wanted to go U.2/U.3, if not that would be my only complaint. Just took a look at their website, assuming you mean the WS-SR630 looking forward to that review!
Almordor waiting for that Silverstone Alta D1 to drop so they can price accordingly. EDIT - no way would that be $1000. I'm gonna guess $800US tops. Looking at the other two models, the WS-SR630 and SR675 look more to the $1000-$1200US mark.
Bro please may you do a video on new gen mxm cards. I didn’t know they were still being made . There is a new geekom mini pc that has watercooling for both the cpu and gpu. THE GPU IS A 4060 MXM
agreed.. I have hot swappables in my 4U rack HTPC and while this case looks nice as might have been easier to fit my GPU, it lacks features I would use.
if this is "much better than any silverstone case ever" then i'm afraid to know the quality on those given this all super thin looking unpainted metal with nothing special about it then again silverstone has been dead in the consumer space for years now with the only consumer product they make being PSUs
Agree. The internal build quality is bog standard dell/hp chassis stuff. Maybe this is on the high end of OEM chassis, but it's bizarre for him to be gushing over it after seeing so many consumer cases.

This is why I tap into GS !! Showcasing interesting cases that lean server based, love it Nick cheers brother 👍
Oh this is awesome!!! I need that rear fan solution for GPU reasons.....
Wait till you see the WS-SR630 ;)
One does not simply rackmount in Almordor.
It’s like a new Mac Pro 2012 case! Awesome.
They should make a 5U version of this, so you can fit bigger graphics cards and bigger air cooler
This makes me miss having a rack setup. Banger of a video, banger of a case
Sorry if i missed it, is there a screen for the fans? How was the noise without that quad fan module on the back?
front loading bays..would have be nice but yes that is an awesome case.

If they make a file sever case, I’d buy for sure

Been looking for a new rack mount case to build my new plex server in. This one is rating up there.
It doesn't offer the utility enthusiasts who seek rackmount capability would need. Two 3.5 inch drive support is useless.
Thanks for the video
Where to buy?
Never knew I needed one.

Any update?
I saw your video and then I went off and bought one… 🙈 it was approximately US$280
I plan to modify and make it accept a 360 rad since I have no need for hard drives

Silverstone RM52 for nVidia 4090 owners.
How does this compare to the Sliger 4U?
An Al-Mordor?
this is a case or a qualityu?
Safe travels for when use go over seas !
Damn those some good racks ngl💜
Banger vid as usual❤
Thats exactly what ive been looking for. Lemme guess... $400? lol
WHERE TO BUY IT ? . EVEN ALMORDOR IN CHINA DOESNT KNOW THIS EXIST
No 5.25 = no deal!

$1000??? haha no effing way..
Nah, I'm not looking for anything. I just like computer cases and unparalleled b-roll

Silverstones rackmount cases are excellent quality. These are MUCH better.

@@ulamss5 I mentioned dell and HP and this is better quality.
