- In today's vlog we head to Disney's All Star Sports Resort for an updated look at the hotel and grounds! You've been asking for us to do updated resort tours so we're starting today! We'll keep doing these updated tours but I'll also link our previous tours down below if want to check those out! We've done tours of every Disney and Universal resort. We take a look around the lobby, arcade, gift shop, food court, pool and around the actual hotel buildings where the rooms are located. We also grabbed some lunch from the End Zone Food Court, it was just okay but we'll try more food on our next trip! We hope you enjoyed this detailed tour! Yes! I think Tim does the best resort tours! I feel like I can get a true feel as to where everything is. I hope he redoes them all, could use a refresh since the shut downs.

If I'm not mistaken, those paper mache looking things are wasp deterrents. Apparently when wasps see something that looks like an already established wasp nest they won't build one nearby because the turf has already been "claimed". Just found this out while trying to defend my house from wasps recently. Apparently they're not proven to always work but there might be some other bug deterrent things inside it.
They make sense for disney to use even if they don't work all the time. Disney does a good job of balancing natural and chemical pest deterrents. So they try their best with natural and use chemical where they failed.

These last few WDW updates have had me cracking up! Idk why but Tim’s commentary and reaction to things, plus the awesome editing from Jenn, really makes these even more entertaining than previous updates! Keep ‘em coming!
Answers time: how long is the running trail? 1 mile. Prior to the closing in 2020, they used to have a recreational fun run between the resorts that was treated similarly to a RunDisney race. You’d even get a Bib and can run with your stroller. Celebrity Hall, what is it? It’s not a community hall. That’s the place where the magical express would bring luggage from the airports to be sorted by which all star the guest was staying at. It’s also used as the location for groups to get their “stuff” when it comes to competitions at the ESPN WWoS. That’s where the buses would pick up the groups to take them to the competitions as well.
Fun facts: That large gold star at the entrance weighs over 55,000 lbs, the resort opened on April 29, 1994, has 1920 rooms at 260 square feet, and is located in Osceola County,
More fun facts: It would take more than 20 million 12 ounce cans to fill one of those giant Coca-Cola cups! To wear one of those football helmets a player would have to be standing over 200 feet tall.
As they say at the Disneyland alumni, “You can take the person out of Disneyland but you can’t take Disneyland out of a person.” And even though I am no longer a cast member I will always be a cast member.
You know something Tim, you’re videos helped me tremendously with my position at Disney. I couldn’t always get out to explore the resorts but I was able to watch your resort tour videos and just seeing things, and knowing where they were, helped me with the guests all those years. I was often asked “how is it that you know that but the lady 3 people I spoke to didn’t?” Well I made it my business to know it, wish the management liked that as much as the guests did.
The All-Star Resorts are very nostalgic for me since we would stay there a lot as a kid. Tbh though, the Value resorts are very underrated, especially Pop and Art of Animation now with the Skyliner!
I never seen any reason to stay in the fancier resorts for hundreds more. The value properties have it all, decent food, quiet, nice swimming pools and an arcade, and 90% of your time awake will be spent in a park anyway.
I stayed at ALL STAR SPORTS Many times as a Kid in the 90s. When it wasn't All star sports, it was SHADES OF GREEN
My family lost our beloved chihuahua on our ride home from our Disney vacation on the 29th of June. He was 13 and God decided it was his time. It has been very hard being home and trying to adjust to not having him with us anymore. Last night we sat down to catch up on your videos. It was the first feeling of normal we have had (we have been watching you every night for about 6 years now). In your Father's Day video you mention Bandit and that was actually comforting for me. Please know we have enjoyed your videos and watching your family grow. You have been a blessing.

This is always my choice when I stay on property at the value tier--mostly for the bus services. When the All Stars share busses, Sports gets picked up first (seats!) and dropped off first (less standing!) :)

Also: When lines were long to return to All-StarvSports, we found it easier and faster to get back to our resort by hopping on an All-Star music bus. The resorts are close enough that the short walk is minimal.

I really like the All Star resorts. It's like a Comfort Inn level of place to stay. I don't really need anything more fancy than that, and it's more affordable! When I'm going to Disney World, I'm not planning on staying in my room very much anyway, so I never feel like I would get my money's worth out of one of the fancier rooms.
At first when Tim said the Golden Gophers were his favorite team, I was so excited since I'm from MN. 🤩
But then I realized he was just teasing. 😭 Lol

I love how fun the theming is at value resorts. My best friend and I stayed at Art of Animation last fall and we never got sick of the immersion. We stayed in the little mermaid area and were so excited to walk through that stuff and the lion king every single day. I’m staying at pop century in January and I can’t wait to experience that theming! I’m not a sports person, so I would never want to stay here, but it must be so fun to walk around it

I stayed here in 2001 when I was 15, this place is still so deliciously 90s. It hasn’t changed one bit.
2001 was my Last trip with BOTH my parents. We stayed at All Star Sports in the Basketball area. We stayed in SURF'S UP in 2017 for my Son's 1st trip
My husband and I stayed at All Star Sports for our honeymoon in 2015 and we really enjoyed ourselves! We spent most of our time out in the parks, so the small, clean and simple rooms were perfect for us!
also probably saved some money going with all star sports than one of the luxury resorts?

I home when we finally are able to buy a house we have a skylight. Natural light makes everything so nice.
I know people give the value resorts a hard time, but the theming feels like classic Disney theming. The basketball walls in the food court is so neat!

This was so nostalgic for me to watch! All Star Sports was where we stayed during our visit to WDW in 2018 and it felt so much like home watching this. Also, a All Star Sports Resort Tour was the first Tracker video I ever watched! Back in 2018 by a recommendation of a friend. So for me, this kind of video feels like old school Tim and Jenn videos ❤️

I stayed Sports (went to abbreviate, then realized - LOL) many years ago, only couple nights. Was my mistake, was during Pop Warner - NEVER AGAIN!!!! I did stay at Music and Pop after that - again - both awhile ago, but both were fine. I do remember mailing out postcards from Sports, used to mail them out on every trip. :) I stayed in one of those "back areas" in Music, right over where the Mousekeeping carts had a turnaround, and I was going to ask to be moved (was there for a long trip) if something else closer to Melody Hall came available, but despite the LONG walk, it turned out to be SO quiet, I ended up staying bac, there for the whole trip!
The Orangemen are also an actual team, Tim - Syracuse University, in New York. My friend's son was on that team, and we were So proud!! Sorry the burger bothered you. Socially distanced hugs to the 3 of you from New Jersey. Stay strong, stay positive, stay healthy!

Thanks for showing one of the value resorts. I have stayed in most of the resorts and love all of them. Thanks for pointing out things I missed, like the lockers on the bottom of the counters in the lobby. I'm not a fan of most of the food at the value resorts, but I am usually in the parks or at Springs eating, so it's not an issue. I love the updated rooms. I actually like the area around the sinks better than some of the other moderates and deluxe resorts because of the little cubby areas to get your junk off the counter by the sink. Very well designed!

My family and I stayed there back in 2005. There is a picture of us in front of those big letters. The biggest thing I remember is how awesome the pool was. Any time we weren't in the parks, eating, or sleeping I was in that pool.
I stayed here a very long time ago and this looks so much different than what I remember. I want to stay here again whenever I return to Florida
My daughter and I stayed there at the end of April for the big cheer summit competitions. The hotel was great affordable and the rooms were decent. We ended up staying an extra night and got a room at Disney all star movies. It was nice as well, I think it was updated not to long ago so it was a good bit nicer. Honestly we didn’t spend much time in our rooms so that part did really matter. But for sure these hotels are a great affordable way to enjoy disney!

I used to do competitive cheerleading and every year that we would go to nationals at wwos. We would stay at the all star sports resort as well. It’s almost nostalgic to see how much it hasn’t changed! Also, the football field would always be filled with teams practicing for the competition. It’s weird to see it so empty!

Sports was closed when we visited last November we stayed at movies but we’ve also stayed at music several times . Excited to see what’s changed as they may do the same to the other 2 I do know they were refurbing all the rooms modernising them . Out of the 3 music is my favourite 😉

Hahahahahaa, we discovered your channel researching resorts back in March 2019. We watched your Yacht Club video (where we ended up staying), where you mentioned that your Ale & Compass meal didn’t “sit right.” For some reason that etched itself into our brain. Watching this video felt like deja vu.
Btw, we ate at Ale & Compass one night during our trip and it was delicious! No churning stomachs 😂. Whew!

Our first holiday to WDW we stayed at Music Resort, October 1998 2 adults, 2 children $74 per night. We had a wonderful time.

We have been to all,of the value resorts and the All Star resorts are the last on our list. They are so so loud. And so busy depending on what events are going on. Art of animation is definitely the way to go.

I'm staying on property for the first time next year at All-Star Music. Normally we stay in a 2 bedroom off property but I decided to stay at Disney since it is just me and my husband. I'm excited I just didn't want to spend too much our first time.
