Just be careful (as much as you can) with some of the dangerous chemicals you might find in a dumpster. My heart to you amigo, you are good. Greetings from Toronto.
I live in Columbus Ohio and after watching you make so many good scores from the dumpsters, I decided to give it a try . The first one I opened 2 crackheads jumped out of and ran screaming down the alley , the second had 5 people and they were sitting around a pentagram painted on the bottom of the dumpster , and they all had a Cabbage Patch doll in their hand with no feet . I didn't want to find out what was behind door number 3 , so I went home.

Hey Mike, to combat the foul odors of your work environment may I suggest that you get a little tub of Vick's vapor rub and apply a little dab to your nostrils👃 when you start your run. Menthol and eucalyptus is much more tolerable. 🤧 Happy Scrappy 🤑
The Thermocool stuff is heat sink goo. Greasy and useful if you're putting computers together, usually CPU to heatsinks, but other components that might get hot.
Those trays are actually blinds, used in harddrive slots when no drive is present, to ensure proper airflow in the server. You had one proper tray there though, the one with the metal plate in the bottom. They arent worth much as a part tbh. What you got there is typical leftovers after a server installation; boxes with leftover blanking plates and such for PCI slots, front bezels to servers, various mounting stuff for rackmounting, loads of powercables etc. I've done numerous such installs, and that what the leftovers tend to look like.
Why are businesses so wasteful? No wonder the price of EVERYTHING is so expensive, we have to pay for poor inventory control and bad planning. Or an even sadder scenario is there are a lot of businesses going out of business and just throwing everything away.
Hey Mike you need to keep a couple of 5 gallon pails hanging from the top of the fence on your truck so you can bring a man and take but 5 gallon pails of all let loose stuff out. It would save you a lot of time take the bucket out empty and then put it back in the dumpster
That ext hard drive might be a scsi hot swappable hard drive. Nice finds tonight Sir Mike. Save those empty memory anti static containers. Your computer person might be interested in them. Chip handlers. When I dismantle servers like the old raid systems from Sun you might be surprised what is in them. All those empty aluminum cans are worth saving and adds up.
The plastic drive trays are just blanks that are pre populated in computers that just maintain the airflow in a server....you remove them when you install drives
You need a Harbor Freight tool retriever the magnet is on a 3 foot handle and you squeeze the inter handle and it drops the metal. I use it to pick up screws and bolts in my shop and not get my hand stuck.
The black plastic "trays" are drive slot dust covers. The silver things are expansion slot covers. you did have a couple of HP Drive carriers. Those power cables are from servers and carry 2 10 gauge stranded wires and a 12 gauge ground. Probably have 50 to 100 bucks in copper in just those. The thermocool flux is heat sync thermal transfer compound not a good brand though but it works.
The stuff in the tubes are thermal paste, that's used on the processor of a computer before a heat sink goes onto it to help cool off the processor so the cpu doesn't over heat. It also can be used on graphics cards gpu chip to cool it off too, the thermal paste could be worth some money to someone that builds pcs.
FYI those 12 x12 pieces of marble or granite in that dumpster will sell for $20/$25.00 each to leather workers. we use them to set snaps/rivets grab them in do the craigs list thing

Thanks for explaining the electronics, glad you answered my question and gave some insight.
What you get for all this$
The plastic drive trays are just blanks that are pre populated in computers that just maintain the airflow in a server....you remove them when you install drives
"A memory upgrade"...
...I forget when I last had one of those.
You need a Harbor Freight tool retriever the magnet is on a 3 foot handle and you squeeze the inter handle and it drops the metal. I use it to pick up screws and bolts in my shop and not get my hand stuck.
I find it very satisfying to disassemble hard drives quite satisfying
46:05 that is a 10GB Ethernet Copper cable. Expensive stuff!
Yes with SFPs attached at both ends.... The SFP pieces are worth way more than the cable
