It is getting a bit nicer now with the weather EXACTLY. LOL
Thank you
Hi Becca, Chris, Wow, how lovely you have made everything look. What an amazing job you have done with the stove. It's Fantastic. I love, yet again that Becca explains to us all what she is doing, what her plan of action is, and Becca always comes thru with the goods. And we all listen to Becca's every word. I'm thinking "Training Videos" !!!!!! Chris, you are amazing with the support you give to Becca when she has all her genious ideas, you never say no, and always give her every praise. But once again Chris, I must comment on this weeks edit, which was very slick and clever, so many little tiny touches (which can take ages to sync up) which only a professional could do, be it video or audio, even down to an odd note from a track just to create an atmosphere. I loved your closing speech, it made me feel all emaotional. It sounds like your an excellent script-writer too. Such a nice polished video from two lovely people. Thank you. Spoolbox
Thank you so much, didnt bex do amazing, such a clever cookie. woaw that would be a great shout...I cant wait to see what bex creates out on our cruises. aww bless you what a compliment thanks for noticing as always. it was a bit emotional wasn't it Thank you for all the love it really makes it all worth while ❤️

Thanks
Thank you for this, such a kind gesture ,hope you have a lovely week ❤️❤️
Your more than welcome, me and the wife always look forward to your videos 😊
Very nice
Thank you ☺️
have you considered a diesel heater?
We did briefly think about one but not in any great depth. We both quite like the wood burning stoves so decided to stick with what we had really for the moment ☺️
What a fabulous job you've done..looks amazing. Now get ready for spring cruising guys. ❤❤
Thanks so much Mr 🥰 Hope you're all good and look forward to slow mo racing along the cut with you later in the year 😂😜
Brilliant! We'll done to both of you. Becks for doing the work and Chris for amazing support. Happy New Year
Thanks so much 🥰
Great work and perseverance guys! Happy new year!
Thanks so much. Happy New Year to you too 😊
Thanks for hours and hours of great viewing… a late and tiny Xmas present to fund some firefighters ;)
Bless you, thank you so much for this, so kind ❤️❤️
Looks great young lady just nice and neat as it should be . Happy trails.
Thank you😊😀
Well done guys, looks really nice. Having married a builders daughter I can sympathise with Chris sometimes feeling a little like a spare part! 28 years later I can testify that being an inch from idiocy and keeping the maestro supplied with tea, as well as finding the odd thing you are good at, in my case demolition with minimum impact elsewhere works out just fine. Looking forward to seeing whats next!
its hard to keep up with Bex, shes a force, but I do make a good supper so just have to make sure shes fully stocked , thanks for all the support, were getting there
Your voice sounds like Tony Robinson from Blackadder fame .
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣 This is sooo true!!!!
I have been trying to work out what his voice reminded me of. Finally someone worked it out for me.
So happy for you. Looks great. Looking forward to the next project. Best wishes, Deb
Thanks so much Deb. Sending good wishes right back to you 😊
Well done guys looks FANTASTIC😁👏🏼💜
Thank you so much ❤️
You guys have done a phenomenal job - Becs with her ingenuity and skill and Chris with his support and growing skills, topped with that crazy sense of humour. A win all round 👏👏👏👏
awww thank you so much, we made a great team, thanks for all the support
Great work!! Boat Safety requirement is simply no signs of heat damage.......don't over think it!! Just let the common sense run free and you will be fine (for example you don't want combustible products, wood etc touching the flu) one other boat safety requirement is the wood burner needs to be secure/free from unintended movement. A BSS examiner will be expecting to see the feet fixed/fastened down.
thanks for this lucky we did remove the burnt wall panels then, yes we have heard it needs to be fixed down thanks again
Nice one you got that looking top now you need hot water and that shower sorted and then you can go up north Birmingham Madchester liverpool Sheffield all over the UK. The Wobat will travel I reckon you can defo set off this yr 2024 is your yr I feel guy’s smash it 🤣🔧🎸✌️
that sounds like a lovely little plan, we cant be far off know, we are dying to visit all these great places with our new life and take you guys along on the journey
Hooray! Finally the stove is done - now you can stay warm. Well done Becks!
Ahh the warmth is so nice! Thank you 😊
Brilliant episode guys that stove is looking shit f@@king hot, well done Bex and Chris all we need now is some travel vlogs..........☺☺☺☺☺
Ahh thanks so much for watching 😊 We are pretty pleased with the stove for sure! Ahh fingers crossed it won't be long now!! 😊
Go to 55 seconds-in , in this video to see what you ‘Thankfully ‘ missed out on with your boat . th-cam.com/video/G-tGoRoOG-8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=LyZWuCLQ8dpp4xI8. I’d wait for the Flood water to go down somewhat before you venture out near any of these dam Bridges. 😊 Great job on the Fire Place ……… PS It sank in the end 😢.
oh no...yeah been seeing this doing the rounds the poor poor people, yes maybe a good idea we havent left the marina yet , thanks for watching and committing
Nice jobs guys. Have you ever heard of a recoheat ? I got one in my cottage. It will turn your let's say 5kw stove into a 10kw stove . Brilliant peice of kit , I can heat my 3 bedroom cottage with my multi fuel stove without turning on the oil and thats not even running my stove 24/7
Wow this sounds fascinating, I'll definitely have a look into them. Thanks so much for mentioning it 🙂
Hi Chris and Bex. Well done for completing the stove. It looks excellent. So glad you’ve now got some warmth. In this weather you’ll need it! Take care. Nick
Thanks Nick hasn't Bex done great, we finally have warmth so so happy have a lovely week 😀👍😊
I have a suggestion for you guys. If you get some flexible thin copper pipe and spiral it up the chimney to about 15 to 20 times then connect each end to your central heating circuit (if you have one yet) and Bob's your dads brother, you'll have central heating. It will need a small electric pump somewhere in the circuit too and not too near the stove itself otherwise it will melt. Hope this helps............
That's so interesting, what a fascinating way of getting heat around the boat, eventually this is what a back boiler does for rhe stove though we have heardvthere not very reliable, thanks for your comment
If it was in a house I think the regs say single skin flue pipe has to be 3x it's diameter away from combustibles, ie wood...
Id be tempted to fit twin wall flue a foot or so down from the ceiling and through to outside. This will reduce the distance to combustibles to 50mm of memory serves? It also helps prevent cold plugs of air in your flue, poor combustion and the build up of creosote in the flue. I'm sure what you've done is safe, it just depends what the tester says.
Yeah this is it. It makes it hard to translate into boat conditions as some stuff is just not practical on a boat. When I measured out where it should be in accordance to house regs, it would mean the flue would have to be situated in the middle of the doorway or something equally daft!! We did deliberate changing the whole flue to a twin flue which is something we might do in the future but our old flue was absolutely cemented onto the stove there was no way it was budging without being cut off. We decided to stick with it for now and revisit that in the future when we have more time and it's not so cold! Thanks so much for your helpful suggestions though, that's really useful to know 😊
Well done or done well is the question ? how will the spiders get out w/ the rope blocking the exit - Don't worry there are only 14 dangerous in the UK that will give Bex your life insurance & guitar
Bex dosent know this but I made her block the hole to stop spiders getting in, she thinks shes just fixing the new stove
Super Bex strikes again. Just don't let her near the kryptonite. Otherwise, her super strength powers will be lost. Well holed with the hole Bex. x
She really done well, god knows how we would do with out her, superb go ❤️😀👍
Fab channel, love watching you guys and DIY skills and ideas ❤
Thank you for joining us on our adventure 😀 😊
I think "stuffing rope down" is called caulking, normally used by shipwrights to seal against water but purpose is the same. Go Bex!
caulking...thats interesting, thanks for letting us know😊😀
Awww looks flipping marvellous guys! Fantastic job Bex! 🤗
And, yep, this year is definitely you pairs! Can’t wait to see you cruising! See what mayhem you create (in a nice way, of course)! 🤣
Take care lovely pair! 😘❤️🌻
Thank you, Bex done so well, now to get some hot water running through the boat then off to live happily ever after on the canals 😂❤️
Well done Chris looks fantastic..Bex's is a very lucky woman to have a diy maestro like yourself .👍
😂🤣😂 Haha! Absolutely!!
😂😂😂
The stove is on the wrong side will get knocked off when passing boats by trees add briges..
Unfortunately that's how the bost came
I don't have a boat. and given your experience ,there will never be one either lol. enjoyed the video thank's.
I think we pulled a short straw.....a very very short one.. im pretty sure once we get going it will be amazing
Awwwww grand well done both a working stove at last hope you safe from that flooding and xmasn new year were good luv the oldies 👍👍👍👍👍🤗🤗🌟🌟
thank you, were quite safe at the marina but literally meters away from chaos , thanks for all the love ❤️
Next time you redo a flue use twin wall flue pipe that has a built in air gap to stop burning. Great job there though
Thanks so much 😊 We did talk about this but the twin flue was a bit out of our budget for the moment so decided to stick with what we had already with the intention of maybe replacing it in the future with twin flue! Thanks so much for your comment 😊
Many people posted about narrow boat life. But you're style editing is amazing. I subscribed
Thank so much for joining the disaster 😅
@@TheNomadicCrobot I’ve been going through a flood in Egham with my boat 😎🤣
Beck's you need to put a fire blanket rap around the pip going in the hole.😊
Oh wow, I never knew about this! Thanks so much for the suggestion. Il defo keep an eye on the rope and should it need replacing, get some of this stuff. Many thanks again 😊 x
The stove looks fantastic guys I'm really impressed 😊
Bex done so well. Thanks for watching 😀👍
Well done x the transformation is unbelievable, you hard work has payed off x😊
Thank you so much, hasn't Bex done outstanding 😊
No fighting you two 😅
Please repeat content
Thanks Martin
Hey guys! We just finished binge watching every single video! Awesome content and great seeing things improve slowly! It's my girlfriend's birthday today and we are in st Neots! Can we buy you a coffee or beer in the mill? X
Hi guys, thank you so much for the support and Happy Birthday ,We've got arrangements with friends today unfortunately, if you down any other time give us a heads up and we can try to arrange to meet you😃
Yeah sorry, was just an ad-hoc jaunt around for the day. Next time, more notice and I'll bring a box of your fave cro-bottles to help your hard work along😅 x
The fireplace looks great, well done guys. Hopefully you are alright after the recent floods nearby ?
were actually very safe In the marina thanks so much
Great job, look really nice and love the copper finish, don’t forget for BSS you need to secure the burner to the floor. 😊
Thanks so much and also for the reminder. We are planning to do that soon just putting it off for fear of the tile cracking! Fortunately we do have a special drill bit just for the job but still scary!! 😂
I hate being cold. Glad you sorted it out.
we agree...I cant believe we went this long haha
Nice job guys, its always satisfying once you have done some hard work and can sit back and admire it and how much you have saved rather than having someone else do it
we got there there in the end, all Beccas hard work paid off...now onto the next project....warm water
Aww that looks class!!! Well done bex!😍😍

Yay congratulations. An snuggly warm boat. Happy 2024 🎉
Thank you so much 🥰 It's been so nice to have some warmth ❤️ Happy New year to you x
You might need to find something like this BS EN ISO 9094:2022 Small craft. Fire protection, which is only £240 for 44 pages.
Welcome to the cost of safety standards.
if you look around the net you might find an old pdf if your lucky.
Oh my goodness!!! My friend who is a stove installer did mention the BS regulation stuff. Why is everything so blummin expensive!! Thanks for sharing x
@@TheNomadicCrobot I've ordered £1000's worth of standards over the years, it's just part of the costs of certifying what you have done or produced is safe to the end user.
People tell me you can self-certify for things like CE marking, forgetting or ignoring that you still need to spend £200-300 on each standards just to know what you need to do. And it could require 4 or 5 standards.
Great job Becks.
When you go cruising you need to have a launch . Bottle of champagne smashed on the bow ,or equivalent.
Bravo chaps
that sounds like an awesome idea...im going to get very very drunk , cheers Dave
Wow! Bex you are amazing - what a fantastic job! This is it guys, 2024 is going to be your year 💪🏻🙌🏻🥰
Didnt she do amazing, even if I was half decent I would be able to keep up, yayyyy this is our year fingers crossed thank you
Outstanding job Bex
It is a masterpiece.
Well done both.
Wow thank you so much for your lovely supportive comment 🥰 Hope you're keeping well David ☺️
Just found your channel. I love the way, you are keeping it real, not just showing all the good times. Good luck in the future and I hope all starts going the way and you can enjoy your narrowboat and the canal’s.
