The whole point of this video for me is to see how far I’ve come for drumming for 8 years and a reminder for when I can play it note for note as to how far off I was
I’ve found it’s always good to play songs that are out of your reach. It helps you learn where you need to work on techniques but also forces your body to get faster and more technical. You’ll definitely get there, trust me!!!
@@lukebendallmusic Man, even if you were just messing around and throwing it out there it was still really solid. The only thing would be getting a little cleaner on the timing (which I imagine is the biggest hurdle other than the sheer speed of the blasts haha), but the overall speed and technique is nearly all there man. Don't sell yourself short, you got some mad skills! :)
Gravity blasts are either really difficult or impossible on that snare (I think the rubber rim is too thick) so that was the best compromise I could think of. And that’s a Roland to 25 drum kit with a TD 27 module. Preset is “Heavy” with some tweaks.
Idk man sounds pretty good to me. I like your snare technique, different from Spencer's hand swapping thing. Definitely giving that human touch of keeping it under control while almost flying off the rails. It's metal, you don't need to tap the drums like clicking a mouse, keep it up!
Odds are against me but if I ever got to be part of Archspire, I’d be dedicating every waking moment to bringing the highest level of brutality I could.
Honestly dude, even if you aren't playing it note for note yet, you have better feel than a lot of the covers that do hit all the notes.

@@lukebendallmusic How old are you, if I may ask? Sick drumming man ❤👌👍
still a machine!
Came here expecting a train wreck of a recording but I get this? Disappointing.
Jokes aside, this was AWESOME.
Nothing crappy about that bro. In fact, now I'm jealous.
Thanks!!! And Tbf it’s not a bad attempt for only playing 8 years 😂 few more and I’ll
Play it perfectly
@@lukebendallmusic Well now you're just bragging. LOL
I'd be stoked to have a drummer as good as you in my band!
Thanks!!! One day I’ll get round to a full band eventually.
Honestly super well done! If you learn the gravity blast trick you can certainly have an easier time doing the 350bpm blast. Great cover!
omg i love that title lol
Killer brother. Thats all i gotta say
Support you man ❤
it's got the coolness factor with that watch check half way through haha! Neat stuff though Luke! \m/
My favourite part is the cheeky bell towards the end in the pause 😂 felt a little smug with it
Incredible!
Jokes aside if I ever get my speed and technical skills up to a third of this I'll be able to die content.

If you blind folded me and said it was clowncore i would smile and nod so 🤷
Definitely love those guys. Need to cover them one day
Louie Cole is nasty like your shut underwear
Awesome drumming
Not bad. Ambitious. Good luck!
100% not a real submission and was just messing around the other😂 but thought it would be funny to try

Thanks so much!!! The goal is to play this song perfectly one day anyway so hopefully soon.
@@lukebendallmusic You have a really good chance man, please give it a go and make it a submission. Seriously.
@@lukebendallmusic worth a shot, plus another band may be looking too.
Ludwig became a pro drummer 😤
Seriously though, great job 😁❤️
Thanks!!! 😊
As an extreme metal fan, I know you didn’t play it right but faked it with skill! What kit are you playing on? Cheers

Good shit
It’s blast beats or nothing

Thanks and true. I like the idea of gravity blasts but I do think that playing it this way keeps it consistently and strong 💪
@@lukebendallmusictoo bad 99% of archspire is gravity blasts not some weirdo zydeco beat
YEAH
I'd wager if you wanted it bad enough. You'd actually have a chance

The odds are against everybody ? From what I've seen on TH-cam, you've pretty much done the best.?@@lukebendallmusic
Fingers crossed then and thanks!!! Will try to practise even more now. Hit that 500BPM goal 😂
You got this man. Yeah you're fast but I appreciate the feng shiu in your playing just as much
@lukebendallmusic
You deserve to be the new drummer! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
It’s looking like I need to learn more Archspire tracks 😂
