Yep, the trick is to not get one that's too tight for you. A hood sized just right for your head should allow enough stretch space to accommodate the mask too.
@@TheJrod24 if you make your own, I strongly recommend Catasta Charisma's books. Look them up, they cost a bit but they've definitely taught me a fair bit.
Ebay has been great for our mask buying. Just set a saved search for "msa millennium" and turn on alerts. You may not always find one at a sensible price instantly, but you could take 2-3 months to get one at the price you're willing to pay. It also pays to have a look at the outsert. This one came with a clear visor and it was a bit yellowed which is common, but we replaced it with a tinted outsert, also from ebay. Just know these come in 2 sizes (S/M and M/L), and so do the outsets. Pricing for the masks can vary anywhere between $100-600 depending on condition. This one cost around $200. Also know that some sellers may not ship them to outside of the US because of restrictions (items of war or something). I know this can be a problem for French buyers from some chats I've had with some people. Best of luck in your search.
@@Rubberly Thank you so so much for the info, been asking about on what manufacturer they are know I I can start looking for one, again thank you for the info
No, that's what we're aiming to reduce. There's the natural slippery feel, because it is an oil, but it's not a grossly thick polish that leaves that tacky sensation.
GASPPO now I’ve never thought about getting an open faced hood to wear with my MSA or S10!!

Thanks, we love finding better ways to look after our gear. Cheaper too!
@Rubberly Please can you tell me where you got the gasmask from?

Very nice! Is there any lingering tacky residue sensation or feel after application?

@@Rubberly That's wonderful!
Seems to more than do the job 😁
Cheers. It always comes out good when it's freshly sprayed. We're a tad obsessed about getting things to shine the best just before a photo is taken!
