Chris Wall #RIP - We lost another #Texas #CountryMusic Legend as the great Chris Wall passed away lengthy battle with cancer. Such great #songs like “I Wish John Stetson Made A Heart”, “Once More Before I Go”, “Boots”, and EVERYONE remembers “Trashy Women”.
What a small world. The lead guitarist Kenny Grimes taught my brother guitar in 94, then I picked up the music bug myself and brother quit it, and now I'm looking up famous Chris wall and find out more about Kenny than I knew back then. I just thought he was an old guitar dude.
I took lessons from Kenny several years ago. Unfortunately, I have no ability at all. But Kenny is one of the giants in Texas music and he did his best with me.
I am adding this to what I call my Great Music Series, for my daughter to play at night for my grandson (2 weeks) old. It's been proven that playing music at an early age can influence them in appropriate ways...
My dad introduced me to some of his CDs when I was little and I still listen to Chris nearly every day. I’m probably his #1 listener on Spotify now, not that there’s much competition for that. I know it’s been 11 years but I’m interested to see if your grandson is liking him lol
I walked into the Broken Spoke sometime in late 1995 with a full beard and a black hat. A lot of women thought I was Chris until he showed up. We really did look a lot alike. Great songwriter, a fantastic performer and a good all around man to know.
This seem's much better than the 'recorded' version. One of the few song's of his, I've never been keen on. Loved the version by ???? who-ever ! Getting old and forget name's. LOL LOVE this version.
I saw another guy sing this song on tv.He did the song justice. He sang it not quite so fast and had a raspy voice.I don't remember his name.I googled it and can't find who he was.He had kind of blondish hair.Does anyone remember?

@70mach13514v Do you know how many songs have been written to a basic Guitar Boogie? Skynrd didn't have the market on it.
Chris Wall also befriended the Braun boys from Reckless Kelly many years ago and helped them get established..
Had forgotten Bob Livingston played rhythm in the vid.
good stuff

I think this is true for most men actually expect the makeup.
