- How To Beat Sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix - Level 1 Critical Mode
In this video i will show you the best way
to beat sephiroth on level 1 and keep him
from teleporting after the first combo so
you can always know when he is going to
retaliate.
I will show you the things you need to
have before you face him at the end of
the fight.
At the start always use the reaction
or you can dodge roll it or reflect it
your choice.
After the end of the combo try to as close
to sephiroth as possible to prevent him
from teleporting to keep up the loop
Okay now on two phase two of the
fight.
Sephiroth attack get's a little bite
aggressive which means the
omnislash comes at you faster.
Now phase 3 is tricky and
more aggressive then the
second phase.
In this round get in the corner i am
standing in no other coner but this
coner because his omnislash attack is
so aggressive it goes around your
guard and will immediately kill you
fast.
You can also stop his heartless angel
attack by simplely aerial dodging
towards him and poke him which will
cancel the attack instantly and then
go for a free combo.
To dodge the meteor just aerial
dodge side to side over it until he
stops
Now if he successfully launches you in
the air just aerial recover and lock
onto him to see where he is and
attack him head on but be quick
though.
If he uses fire pillar just glide or quick
run to safety .

This fight is so iconic if there isn't a Sephiroth fight in KH3 I'll be sad.
C this comment didn’t age well. Not only was there no sephy fight in kh3 there weren’t ANY FF characters. God kh3 sucked so bad. It’s like the kh3 developers were like hey, let’s add more of those stupid mini games people hate, get rid of the final fantasy characters, add more overpowered ridiculous triangle moves that make the hack n slash combat almost pointless, ramp up the weird anime characters and complex story! Genius!!!

Edit: until I took off my Combo Pluses. 0 seems to be the way to go.

Theres another strategy I use is have the berserk skill on and use reflect when he hits you then if he hits you to low hp us cure then spam combos because that you have infinite combos no finisher with berserk on. If you dont have beserk just try not to finish your combos to much or else you will hit his revenge counter mark and teleport behind you and clap you I recommend usi g either of these keyblades. The pridelands keyblade:forgot the name descicive pumpkin or the ultimate weapon
You mean using guard & reflect for damage output yeah I know about that. As for berserk you don't learn if your on level 1 although you can use the fatal crest which has berserk attached to it.

I used reflect twice for omnislash follwed by guard break and explosion, only used reflects cause my guard timing is crap but it essentially works the same way as this.
Hey, that's a great way to practice timing reflect because it is almost like a training wheel for guard & when you get better at timing using reflects when he is coming at you with omnislash you will learn how to guard it well one day. What I mean is I don't care about how someone approaches the fight or what their playstyle is because everyone has a different preference
anything I need to change for Final Mix difficulty cause it works differently than critical, I also wanna do this with bond of flame keyblade
Well you can totally use bond of flames if you want to. I guess if you have combo boost & combo plus then equip that so you can do more damage when you land a ground finisher.

Hellbound Iscariot You will get it trust me because I remember fighting sephiroth when I was younger and I was good but never could win until that night I beat him. I still remember which I beat him with which was the rumbling rose but it's not the keyblade that did it no it was just I got some good pattern in that fight not to mention rng as well and knew nothing about rng back then until I started watching bizkit047 in 2014.

I hope I can beat the rest of the Mushroom XIII. Some of their mini games are ridiculous. I went Final Form on Number VIII or XII, the one that you hit in the air to get above 85. Yet, I always hit it too far and it drops before I can even get to hit it back up.
Yeah I hate that mushroom challenge outside yensid castle. I would use donald comet to keep him in the air to get a few combos on him while in berserk charge while using retaliating slash. He will still move a head and if he does that's when you use donald to keep him up and just so you know donald comet does not count as a hit point on that mushroom.
He usually runs towards me and casts the fire pillars, and there's no chance of surviving that ever unless you are already further away
Yeah sometime sephiroth will randomly breaking out of the loop making it difficult to predict his next move.
The best way to deter this is to back away from him once he is down 4 health bars, as being _aggressive_ with him will cause a random *fire pillar* to proc
If I couldn’t stop harvest angel in time and I had no elixirs, the best alternative was to activate limit form.
Yeah. I'm not sure if it would stop your health & mp from being taken away because it bypasses the invincibility frames. I think because I was in solo Trinity & he still got my health down to one.
How do you get passed the meteor move if you don't have your Final Form leveled?
Use aerial dodge going to the left and right while jumping over it. Aerial dodge is learned in master form if your wondering about that.
@@keybladewar22 Yeah, I have every Form leveled except Final. Thanks for letting me know. I know I'm a couple years late to this, but I just beat the entire game on Crit Lvl 1, and now all I have left are the Secret Boss' and the Mushroom XIII. Thank you for replying even years after this was uploaded.

Rng is strong with this one... My seph is constantly breaking out of the loop in phase two no matter what Im doing
Butters Yeah his rng is random even if you stay close im just not sure when he does it that's why it's random.
try watching my video to get an idea of how to loop him... and skip the dm at level 1

Yeah it takes practice. Having a good keyblade will not guarantee that you will win nope it all comes down to skill, quick reaction, & knowing his attack really well.

I know what you mean. Sometimes you can know the fight really well & still get a game over for something random or because of a bad spawn he does especially in the third phase of the fight.

Santana._ 120 I would disagree but I 100% agree with you because I just fought terra yesterday and I lost to some stupid stuff in that fight not to mention good rng is something you have to hope you get at the start of the battle like getting the canon or the rising sun to have a good fight all the way through.
WTF how are you level one and so far in the game?
In kingdom heats 2 final mix when you choose critical mode you are given additional abilities at the start including zero exp or no experience which keeps you from leveling up in the game for a more challenging gameplay. This ability is only on the kingdom hearts 2 final mix only not kingdom hearts 2 original. It is also on the new 1.5 of kingdom hearts final mix as well which is more challenging then the kh2fm version since you don't get a bonus level up like kingdom hearts 2 final mix does.

See in kingdom hearts 2 final mix when your on level 1 with exp zero on you can still level up drive forms and get bonus level up still you just can't level up like normal because it halts you from leveling up which means you can't get once more or second chance with it on.
KingdomHearts Master I'm actually playing KH2.5 as we speak, does leveling up and increasing strength actually make a difference in attack against bosses. If you're level 1 and still are able to give damage to sephiroth at that rate, does it even make a difference?
Yeah it is. If you see all the videos people uploaded to youtube of fighting all those bosses on level on with no damage include is even more insane. I done some myself and it's hard but at the sametime is is more fun because it teaches you how to go about fighting a boss fight instead of just mashing x. No this time you have to thinks and react to what they are about to do and i learn a lot from doing level 1 critical mode.
