I get your point, but if we see it from another perspective : the fact 2 ppl are speaking the same language doesn't create "attraction". It can help to create a connection, but it doesn't mean much. For example, as french, if you offer me to speak with a french person I don't like and a non francophone I like, I'll go with the non francophone for sure. My ex. is a pretty cheap, but hope it's understandable nonetheless xD

Both her parents had been born deaf, and she had been born hearing in a 'deaf world'. She wanted to bring both sides together. That stuck with me for over 40 years. I hope more artists do this type of combined performance. A performance that included everyone.
I loved, loved, loved that as soon as the audience realized what was going on, they cheered and supported him! And they did so even before they knew he could hear and sing. At that point all they knew was that he was signing.

I can only imagine the frustration when someone get mad at you on a personal level especially when its something out of your control. Some times people are the worst. But maybe there is a silver lining in the fact you don't have to hear everyone and thier constant non stop complaining about everything or listen to everyone and there issues with this person or that person. Or the Karen's OMG the Karen's. It would be so nice not to be able and hear all these hi pitched, insanely screaming, stereotypical nagging Karen's out there. Yeah I know that the whole Karen idea it isn't really worth the trade off. Just trying to let a little humor in.
