  • Once again... Sorry for the audio. I had a new mic setup that apparently got a bit wonky toward the end, but I will continue to work on that as the entire system is more professional and new to me. The Freedom Scooter Video has a better example of how the audio is supposed to work.

Good review. I have the Super Chief Limited 116 ci and Stage 2 performance upgrade plus a lloydz tune. In sports mode it really moves. Also have heal toe shifter which I prefer with floor boards, and highway / crash bar. Back rest is also installed to keep the Mrs. on when accelerating and to make the ride generally more comfortable for her. Note, she says it does make a big difference in comfort. Will be adding passenger floor board as soon as Indian has them availible. A lot of fun on the twisty mountain roads found here in SW Virginia. My only complaint is the saddlebags aren't quite wide enough to pack much in them and they don't lock. Would also like a helmet lock on it. Ride safe.

Awesome review I'd never trade my Harley but I'd LOVE to add a Super Chief to my garage one day.

I took one of these for a test ride. I thought the suspension was trash.very harsh, not enough travel for the type of bike it is unlike Indians big baggers like the Challenger and Springfield which have great suspension.

Personally I don't feel like different riding modes are needed on this style of bike. I do like that it has an analog speedometer and the information is included in a screen. Don't know anything about listening to a radio on a motorcycle. I don't listen to a radio when riding and never will. It would just ruin the experience of having the wind in your face and the peace of just being on the bike.

My 2009 XVS1300 Tourer is pretty much the same thing, for a 10th of the price!

While I agree Honda has some great offerings for certain things, you can tell where Honda saves you money. While I love my VTX1800T2, I can tell the differences in quality compared to a Harley or even an Indian. You get a better overall quality bike with quality parts for the money. Less plastics and whatnot. Plus, I sit on top of my 1800. On a Harley or an Indian, you feel like you sit in it if that makes any sense. They handle better. I’m definitely not knocking Honda or any other metric bike considering I’ve owned nothing but Honda for my entire life of riding, but I’d recommend riding a Harley or Indian if you ever get the chance. Even if you choose to never own one, at least do it for the comparison if you never have. You’ll be pleasantly surprised when it comes to certain things.

Wow I'm surprised !!! You are the only one who mentioned that the front end of the new Chief Dark Horse sucks. Well, I mean the frame next to the front wheel. How can a designer makes such a great innovative bike with the latest tech and overlook that ugly front design and what's up with that fender in the back - 2 inches too high ! I'm glad now that someone else saw this. In any case, I was considering this bike but that front end would bother me forever just looking at it. Now I've set my eyes on the Fat boy 114 - not as innovative but man it looks good.

At first your comments might be perceived as trivial however I hate my perfectly functional but dead ugly gas tank on my Nighthawk750 and yes bothers me....I can relate

not same category at all.One is liquid cooled hooligan bike and this a full dresser.Compare Road king, Road Glide to this. There is a comparison video this and HD heritage classic and HD wins on breaking handling and power.
