I'm actually worried about our defense. As the season goes on I think more teams are going to figure out the scheme Flores is running, that last game with the packers should have been the biggest blowout I've ever witnessed in my lifetime and instead it was an insanely close game. And thats against the pack who, and I forget the exact statline, score VERY low in the second half compared to other teams.

Haha, I predicted half of those excuses before the game. That game wasn't close. It was almost identical to the 49ers game. It was only 1 or 2 silly Vikes mistakes that gave the Packers life in this game.

Well yeah, our top 2 corners were injured and out for the game. You don't think that doesn't affect a defense? Had they been there Packers def would been blitzing more putting more pressure on Darnold to give up errors.
Love made a number of mistakes (3 INT) and was shaking off the rust he got going against your unstoppable defense in the second half.
I'll say good game, you came out on top at Lambeau, but we have you again later in the season!

They are frauds. And im a vikings fan.. thwy should have lost this game. Second half they played conservative on both sodes of the ball. Rushed 3 on 80 percent of second half plays. And on offense had 4 first downs in second half. Nt to mention the packers missed 2 field goals and lost by 2. The vikings better wake up and clean thier ish up.

Did you not notice that refs were trying to cheat for the Packers on Sam's int, which clearly was not? Then 4th and 1 refs called it short and didn't even review it, which clearly they made it.Bs but Vikings still won.

What garbage. They might have cruised a bit too much, but in the 4th quarter when it threatened to become a contest, they just lifted their intensity and drove down the field to score, or put the game out of reach.

i really don't think the Minnesota Vikings will be able to afford Sam Darnold next season because some team is probably gonna offer him 35 million
Firstly, the Vikes can afford that. They have plenty of cap space next year.
Secondly, try thinking about Sam as a trade asset. The Vikes have to have him under contract if they want to trade him. That way they have control over when they move on from him, where he goes i.e. the AFC, and what other teams will have to give the Vikes. Remember Russ Wilson cost two 1sts, two 2nds and 3 players, DeShaun Watson was three 1sts, one 3rd, two 4ths - so Sam could be very valuable.
Thirdly, any team trading for Sam would have to pay a major chunk of his contract, and most teams would probably think $35m was a great price for a decent QB. Trevor Lawrence costs $55m, Hurts $51m and Kyler $46m right now.
Fourthly, if the Vikes don't sign him, and he goes in FA the Vikes will probably only end up with pick 97 in the 2026 draft - the highest comp pick. And he could end up playing in the conference, even the division.

So, you're saying you would rather have $20m to spend in FA, rather than potentially have two or three extra 1st round draft picks because you save money when players are on rookie contracts, hmmm...
You realise that's the point of signing Sam to a new contract? So you can trade him for draft picks so that you can get for two or three extra great young players on rookie contracts - like Dallas Turner - that you wouldn't otherwise be able to draft. Those rookies will save Kwesi many, many more millions of dollars on their rookie contracts, and likely be better than any players that Kwesi is likely to be able to get in FA?
You'll might need to get someone to explain this to you, because you're completely missing the point.
When Kwesi signs Sam, and you see it all play out over the next 2 or 3 years, it will become obvious...
