Hey Simon Good Vlog, different from the usual food reviews. Saving money in Whitby is always a good thing, as it's not the cheapest place to visit. People not in the know, head straight to the Co-op for their shopping, as they do head to the Magpie for their fish'n'Chip's. Thanks for sharing cost saving options . You can save money, just by looking around and comparing prices. It's about value for money, not "well it's all under one roof". I'm all for Supporting local businesses & get a better deal, by saving a pound or two. 😂 Chin chin, my old friend👍 Oh... I would say a pack of butter. 😂😂
Hello ... Aww we love Whitby... My nana was born and raised in Whitby...she used to tell us lots of stories about fishing and things.... She loved to go back there... It's a special place in our hearts is Whitby ... We was there not too long ago... It's one of my fave places xx
When the heron was a child it said I want to run a supermarket and all the other herons laughed and said just dive for fish like us but this heron was determined and now owns a good store with a marginal but livable profit
Great video. Whilst we like to see the fish and chip reviews, it's always good to see something else. This one was very informative. We know the Co-op can be expensive!
Yes you are correct that the Coop gets dearer everytime we visit! Walked past Heron loads of time so defo popping in next time. Do they sell alcohol in there too? Thanks for the tip Simon
Visitors have no trouble affording a few days or more in Whitby, spending more than they would to go abroad and packing out the pubs so I think they can easily afford co-op prices!
Suggestion for a future video: show people where the public toilets are, and encourage them to use those, or toilets in places they are customers of. Staff like nice visitors, but hate those who don’t spend money in places but want to use their toilet facilities. It’s not on, folks.
Whitby a cartel of over priced fish & chip shop pubs andguest houses are the same. I live 20 minutes from Whitby and avoid the place due to every buisness ripping tourists off. One small pork pie from local butchers £3.50.
Hello everyone. Thank you so much for your response to this video...it's been amazing!

When we first visited Whitby back in the day there was only the Coop, no Aldi, Lidl or Sainsburys.

Heron has some good offers
Hi Simon, seems quite a bit of savings, co-op seems expensive
It is expensive, but it has a great choice of goods
Hi Simon
Not a criticism but have you tried filming in linear? Wouldn't get that daft bend on the picture then.
Love the vlogs though mate
I have but I like a wide angle to give as much of a view as possible.
And thank you for watching!
