Hey Curtis,, I am a subscriber. I would like to say it looks like you have every tool known to man on your truck. BUT ! What you don't have is the Accutrack Superior Ultrasonic Leak Detector. I wa sceptical until a friend had me put on his head phones. He stood 10 feet away and rubbed his hands together and it sounded like two pieces of sandpaper rubbing together. I was searching for a leak that was so small that bubbles looked like shaving cream after 20 minutes. His Ultrasonic sounded like A TORNADO !!! . Since you got everything, add it to your van. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Been subscribed for a while now, I’m 65 now and have been doing my own electrical repairs and my air conditioner and furnace 45 years now. I have a friend who has gauges and checks refrigerant for me if I ask him to. Love watching your work, finding the problem for me is what I like, I get a lot of calls by referrals. Word of mouth, people always ask me for a card . I tell them that I’ve never had any made up, I do a lot of wiring and plumbing all the time.
Been fun watching ya. You have real life scenario videos not those cleaned up edited ones where they all look like super techs and everything fits perfect. I just subscribed. See ya on the next one.
Would’ve tested around your probes with the detector because they were so close to that suspect leak and my probes do leak a bit sometimes. Condenser coil change outs are so much work and I would want to be sure before doing all that work and still not nipping the actual leak.
I know it’s not necessarily good to do, but if I have trouble find a leak I’ll disconnect the fan and let the compressor run to get the head pressure up to around 500 psi. Sometimes you can hear the leak
I was thinking the same. It was either leaking for a very long time or there’s another leak somewhere else that’s bigger! Like the air handle coil. But I’m sure he checked already.
Yes, from my experience if it’s out or nearly out it is usually outside. If it’s icing or a little low I check evaporator first. It don’t always work out that way, but more often than not..
Panel corners, or true suction line rubs out one... I replaced like (7-8) of them in a 2 month period... Whole condensers that was all right past 10yr mark... It's those tiny 8mm tubes, they just can't handle the weight!
For that thing to be flat it sure didn’t want to give up any hints😅. Riley is sure growing. Doggie hair cut and bath day here and man it gets harder every time lol
Stick coil under water . I still have a video of evap coil bubbling under water dang goodman and that coil was the replacement coil it had run out of warranty by 6 months. I could send you the video to your cell don't know how to send to u tube
You gotta Love our Furry Friends. We’ve had our Surrender Rescue Dog six (6) months tomorrow and he is doing Great. 👍🙏

Great video! been subbed for over a year now! I look forward to your videos
Awesome! Thank you!
Did you do a leak search on the indoor coil?
Yes
this has to be one of the nicest HVAC techs in the world lol
Nice work Curtis.

Always wanted these tools to determine pressure. Dig the fan. Found my multimeter at a location but no one claimed it.
Hopefully there aren't more leaks, such as on the inside coil too.
im guessing he checked it already and didnt get anything. so he cut the footage

how come didn’t check inside
man he's had nothing but problems out of that leak detector
Just get more Nitro and put your pressures up to the amount the coil is rated for. It will show up then then.
I subbed and hit the bell the first time I watched you
Thanks
Love your little fan there bud 👍 heck yeah
Which leak detector is your go too or prefer
Whichever one is working. Like them both when they work
I hate those weird subtle condenser leaks. Makes you question yourself over and over.
I literally had the exact same issue on a no cooling call the other day. Wild.
Are you going to make a video on that condenser coil replacement?
Sure
if there a leak there its microscopic .. that leak not big enough to be that low
did you find a leak or something else. be bless.
Dogs are the best.
love that beautiful dog !!!
So when pressures are super low, you check condenser first, not evaporator?
Yes, from my experience if it’s out or nearly out it is usually outside. If it’s icing or a little low I check evaporator first. It don’t always work out that way, but more often than not..
@@HVACGUY thanks Curtis! And I am subscribed, 😊

Without finding the how you determined that it was the outside coil and not the inside?
Is your leak director now ruined or it would work after the water drys?
Great video as always. I feel like that Inficon is a piece of junk. Seems it never works well or has an issue.
Facts, the guys at my job use them and for the price they are hit or miss.
Dogs getting big!

Goodman shouldn't have moved coil manufacturing down to Texas and left it in Tennessee. Too many of these condensers are leaking.
You must be in Atlanta.
South Georgia
It’ll help a lot if you put in 500 PSI of nitrogen
Is Lt. Reilly primarily a pet, or did you get him primarily for hunting; maybe both? 😎
A pet
Your baby not a baby anymore. That coil has frost/ ice problems in past winters maybe from being low on charge for a while
Yeh, he’s getting big
👍👍👍
Riley is gonna be taller than you pretty soon !
👍👍😊😊
from your track record,i would check evap.tks for the vid's.
I did
