The dark souls sound in the transition made me so happy
Yes!!! It's one of my fav franchises. I'm glad you appreciated it
Great video man! This is especially helpful for anyone who doesn't quite understand how to balance food or what foods to eat to survive in each biome.
Thanks man! I'm glad you think it will be informative for other players :)
I always look for a small island in the plains biome, then I lock it down with a bunch of work benches and plant a barley farm. Set up a portal and you're good. You're gonna want several windmills.
Smart idea to build it on an island. Ive always just built a big wall but that doesn't always do the trick
What do you mean by 'lock it down with work benches'? Do workbenches prevent spawning or something?
yes they do! Creatures don't spawn within their radius@@Roelgast
@@Roelgast Yeah, workbenches prevent enemy spawns within the radius of the bench.
@@brn2579 ohhh, I didn't know that! Thank you very much.
You can catch fish early without a fishing rod by building a trough using roof sections angled like a v. Just build the v out about 10 blocks right at the water line and somewhere within render of your base. Over time go check on it and you'll find some fish beaches inside of it. Theres ways of tweaking this, but that's the basic idea for yall to play with
I didn't know you could do that. Very cool! I've found fish randomly along the coastline (sometimes they do wash up on shore). But I've never built a contraption to try and catch fish. I'll have to try this
Nice video man
Thanks man!
thx a lot for making perfect valheim content❤
Wow this might be my nicest comment yet. Thank you very much! 😊
I usually advise against making queen's jam since the berries are extremely important for other more powerful recipes and a ton of potions later on. Stick with plain honey til you find a better stamina food
I agree with you. I often use honey as my "doing daily chores around my house stamina food" it's cheap but also decent for stamina.
Then I save my more expensive foods for the more dangerous adventuring
Thanks for the video.
Anytime! Stop back for more in the future
To highlight how powerful serpent food is: serpent meat and stew can be eaten together for a combined +150 health and +49 stamina, early as the iron age. Stew is currently tied for 2nd best food with honey glazed chicken and meat platter, and the serpent meat is tied with fish wraps.
Makes you wonder though what they'll introduce with the ashlands since we've got some kind of fiery serpent in the teasers.
Also, much as I love the video I have to ask... why not use the 'new biome' sound Valheim has instead of the Dark Souls sound? :D
Yeah the serpent food is super crazy considering how early you can get it!
That's a good question. I just really like the Dark Souls sound effect. That said, the Valheim sound effect is really good too. Maybe I'll use it in a later video!
Could get a whole new trilogy out of this
Sorry, what do you mean?
Dunno posted this on a different video. Weird

Thank you. Doing gods work
You can also get a fishing rod from a mountain biome dungeon. but that's more dangerous than just buying it.
Yeah ive heard that but never come across one. They're pretty rare right?
@SpazzyjonesGaming very rare indeed, ice only found 2 of the caves containing one in the 8 or 9 worlds I've explored
Hello Everyone! I hope you get something from the video!
Let me know in the comments the food you find yourself eating the most when playing Valheim!
thankyouu :)
I got you
Great video, may I suggest adding timestamps ? Those are incredibly useful for people like me who need to come back to this type of video regularly
Good idea, I can do that!
@@SpazzyjonesGaming Thank you !
Bummer that the etir regeneration mead does not give you etir to spend.
I know right. It feels like you don't have enough max eitr to cast all the spells got wang
You can brave a few frost caves in hopes of the ice lake with rod
I've heard that but never actually found one myself. They must be mega rare
Pretty rare, only found 2@@SpazzyjonesGaming
Honestly thought you were going to give your opinion on the best combo for health and stamina taking into account all foods and ease of access. Honey is the most helpful food and is a staple thru the entire game except in boss fights. What would be the other two good foods?
It definitely evolves throughout the game and the later into the game the better the food. You're right about honey, its a good cheap food that you can use deep into the game. Another one I would recommend is bread. its simple to make only requiring barley, plus its a great stamina good.
If you want the absolute best foods for health, stamina, eitr, here you go:
Health:
Misthare Supreme
Honey Glazed Chicken
Meat Platter
Serpent Stew
Stamina:
Fish N'Bread
Mushroom Omelette
Salad
Eitr:
Seeker Aspic
Yggdrassil Porridge
Stuffed Mushroom
You can get eggs in the in the sealed Tower in the plains before killing yag.
I actually didn't know this. Thanks for the tip!
@@SpazzyjonesGaming ya not sure a lot of people do. But there are chests down there with the boss. I love progression breaking things in the game. Like sailing around Mistlands early game to get easy black marble that you can see from the boat to get early cooking station upgrade. Also Dveger doors for early ygersil wood. You either need to use the cart method or throw puffer fish at Dverger to not engage them.
That actually gives me a really good video idea. Maybe something like a compilation of ways to break progression @@damnsurfer522
@@SpazzyjonesGaming Ya go for it sounds fun. There are plenty more progression breaks.
Thanks for the idea man!@@damnsurfer522
bro needs to get some windows
lolol I do though
