Hello friends, thank you two for continuing this series I really don't think there is much to explain because this chapter was quite clear, but maybe there are some aspects that raise doubts and I will try to complement them with information from the novels. The first part is the fight between Zaryusu and Zenberu. The former possesses an ice sword that he acquired on his travels and is considered a treasure among all the Lizardmen tribes. The first effect that Frost Pain has is to throw a certain number of blasts of ice that freeze the enemy, the problem is that this attack has already become famous among the Lizardmen and naturally Zemberu knows it. In Dungeons & Dragons, a Monk is a type of fighter who uses his own body as a weapon and makes it so strong that his fists can destroy steel. It also turns out that Zemberu has a skill or Martial Art that reflects an attack. So Zemberu's Plan was to trick Zaryusu into using his sword attack and then reflect it back at him. That's why he initially fights using a halberd, trying not to let Zaryusu know that he is a Monk. But Zaryusu notices that there is a cat locked up and instead of using his main technique he uses a passive ability of his sword, which is to freeze everything that comes in contact with it. This is how he gets victory. Then we see the meeting of the Lizardmen bosses and some of them have famous treasures like Zaryusu's Frost Pain. In particular i want to mention the boss Kyuku Zuzu who wears bone armor all the time covering his body and is supposed to be harder than Mithrill. The problem is that every time he takes it off this armor loses his intelligence a bit and that's why he takes so long talking, because it's hard for him to remember how to do it. This is another example of how Wild Magic, which was the original power of the New World, works: Always give something in exchange for something else. In the fake Nazarick we see that Cocytus uses message scrolls without worrying, because Demirugo already managed to make them in the New World. At the moment Cocytus orders the advance we see a scene with Ainz that reveals one thing: The way Cocytus is doing things is not what he would like, but he allows it to happen anyway. And indeed, when the battle begins, we immediately see that although the Undead are numerous, they have no strategy behind them. Cocytus simply sent them marching forward without any regard for the terrain, the number of enemies, or their positions. The Lizardmen start to win relatively easily thanks to their tactics and Cocytus realizes he made a mistake. So, the Guardian calls Demiurge to ask him for advice and Demiurge reveals that from the beginning the forces given to Cocytus were insufficient to ensure victory and they also reveal two things: Ainz forbade Cocytus from fighting himself or showing himself on the field of battle; and the name of Nazarick was not mentioned. However, when Demiurge is about to explain more things to us, Entoma, the Battle Maid who watches everything Cocytus does also uses a “Message” scroll and suddenly Demiurge cuts off the communication. When the undead Iguva intervenes, the main boss squad engages him. The problem is the range of his fireballs that doesn't let anyone get close. The Rororo Hydra can do it because her ability is regeneration, which allows her to heal her wounds and so she can last just long enough. In the final fight we see a major weakness of Frost Pain: It also freezes its user. But despite that Zaryusu uses it at close range to blind Iguva and kill him. We finally see that the lizardmen's heroic battle earned the respect of Cocytus, who is primarily a warrior. Well, I hope this explains some things that maybe weren't very obvious in the midst of all the action we see in the Anime. It is quite an exciting chapter after all.
I thought that Frost Pain buffed the one equipped with it from the freezing and that Zaryuzu collapsed after using it because he was spent from the battle.
@@GeoffFrizzell-kz3rg The Ice Burst attack creates a freezing mist, but this can naturally also affect the Lizardman, who is weak against the cold due to his race. Normally this wouldn't be such a problem because its user directs it forward, but in that battle he surrounded himself with the freezing wind to hide from the enemy.
Oo! I just realized another reason for the travelling brother to love Crush, as the bearer of Frost Pain he's been able to experience the beauty of snow with suffering from the cold. 🤔
While it's not confirmed in the novel, it's safe to assume that Iguva=41 was created from the corpse of Igvarge, the adventurer that Mare killed back in S1. Nice reaction.
No the elder lich is the leader of black scripture that ainz first victorycoming to new world. That why he said bow your head and I will make your death painless
@@000ico While there is no clear indication in the novel that Iguva=41 was created from the corpse of Igvarge, in the illustration one side of Iguva=41's face is distorted, and this can be inferred to be the hit Mare delivered to his head that even destroyed his helmet when trying to run from Ainz. Moreover, they share the same voice actors in the anime. So yeah I think you are right
the part where he ordered cocytus to not join the fight sounds like ainz wanted cocytus to be a general that can control armies rather than being a warrior. It is already given that the floor guardians are strong. but considering only Ainz, albedo and demiurge are the thinking ones, Ainz prob needed more people in his team to think rather than just be a fighter. as for "close one" at 14:59 that cocytus said, If based only from what was shown in the anime, It seems Cocytus was pertaining to how the lizards won but took quite some effort. So it is a close one that they won when they could've already lost just from the elder lich alone.
I liked how Cocytus initially lacked awareness of how individuals could join together and defeat overwhelming forces with their unique strengths, and that his own forces lacked that. While I don't think Demiurge was giving Cocytus strategic help, he did give him what he needed. The nice thing is that Cocytus has found in the lizardmen warriors who he could fight honourably with in the future (I hope!)
Ainz want his attendents to grow. Cause they are in a new world and no longer NPC. They have now ability to think and work on their own. But as he can create undead army without killing, like summon losing this army was not a loss.

Skipped information of the episode and explanation. That lizard wearing that white armor that you didnt see fight is very strong. His armor is a treasure that gives a very huge amount of the strenght at the cost of making the user extremelly dumb to the point one could even not know how to speak so im being able to speak shows how intelligent he is. That elder lich is kinda hinted to have been made from the corpse of that adventurer that was coming with ainz to shaltear. If im not wrong the whole point of this battle was for cocytus to become a better general since he is the one that ainz would use in wars. It will more explained later.
I was under the impression that Ainz assumed that Cocytus would automatically win because he was a warrior who only needed an army to command, when what Cocytus really needed was real battle experience and some insight.

@@alessandroreyes3827 without the episode in front of me I can only say Ainz is always better at bluffing explanations and letting the guild’s NPC minions flesh out justifications. I’m pretty sure Ainz’s tragic flaw is that he’s continuing to “play” as a player in a game even though he’s realized he’s living in a real world and should try something else. Without knowing what other players have done it’s hard to know what mistakes to avoid but I think that’s a mistake they’ve all made and NPCs aren’t suited to help with.
