We do not demolish our history (historic monuments like other Countries)!!! We preserve them. Because unlike others, we have a lot of proud of our History and Culture and love to share with everyone (not to hide like others because, well "reasons" (shame))!!! Every Country in this World did something bad/wrong through theirs history, we just have to learn with that errors!! If you hide those errors because "reasons" (shame), than the probably of committing those same erros is very high!! Im really sorry for the "rant", but im tired of seeing people being ashamed because of theirs history or culture!! A big salute from PT and sorry for my very poor English, cheers!!! PS: Never forget, BEING PROUD OF YOU'RE CULTURE DOESN'T MEANS YOU DISRESPECT OTHER CULTURES!!! ✌

ola jordan and subscribers of jordan, the church of this video is the convent of Carmo yes they are ruins but they are not abandoned, on the contrary. is one of the most important points of the recent history of portugal, in the convent is installed the GNR republican national guard, and it was in this convent that the revolution of the carnations ended, which ended with the dictatorship of the new state, in 1974. It is in ruins but preserved and is a museological space, to remember the fateful day of all the saints of November 1, 1755. when Lisbon was hit by a 9th grade earthquake followed by a fire all over the city and ending a tsunami with waves of 20 meters that ruined the city ending the idea of the church that natural phenomena were punishments of God, conclusion Not All Saints Help Us lololololol Thanks Jordan for the beautiful picture that you gave us this country
