How to play Eclipse, designed by Touko Tahkokallio For an alphabetical list of my videos: bit.ly/2vlymoz Buy from Amazon: amzn.to/2w9yM2g (affiliate) www.boardgameg...
Awesome video -- a great refresher. One quick note for anyone watching: when cubes get destroyed during combat, they actually go to the graveyard (bottom-right of your race's board), not straight to the income tracks. They'll stay there until your Cleanup phase (generating income) before finally returning back to the income track. A small detail I missed my first few playthroughs.
Thanks ! That was all clear in my mind after this explanations, really efficient ! I will look for some of your other videos to discover/learn to play new games :D
The upgrade action part of the video is very misleading. You are able to put an upgrade onto any space of your ship's blueprint not only on a blank one!
Don't listen to Doce Tower. They just gripe about it because some silly sod said it was like TI4. Cry me a river. This game is awesome. Plus, the new version, whenever that will be, will bring down the house. Better than Ti4 imo.
Looking to play this in a couple days, I'm still a bit unsure when colony ships can be used/refreshed? I understand you're saying they can be used anytime but when do they flip back up to ready status? You said it could be done during the Influence action and the Upkeep? I'm guessing you can use them, flip them back up and use them again on the same turn? Thanks for the vid!
If you select the Influence action, you can flip 2 colony ships face-up, in addition to moving influence discs if you like. Yes, you can use them again on the same turn. Thanks for watching!
Great velorganized explaining, topnotch. But for some of us , music is very distracting , just added info for brain to struggle with, although it is a calm soft piece of music. I hope you make more 😊
this game feels like whats left from the little lamb after few wolfs has been feasting on it ! i am not so demanding about games, its easy for some game to get 10 out of 10 theres no game i hate except those ones with politics, i hate politics ! i could play every game as well as this one, but eclipse feels poor and unfinished would be nice to have some cards to play, like those in race for the galaxy which give military strength so i can conquer advanced planets by collecting cards which give military points instead of just buying upgrade and its done also those development cards in the expansion were a must for the original game eclipse was on the right way but it just needed more of the various gameplay, more fun if you combine eclipse with race for the galaxy and starship troopers then you get amazing game

Danny V Thanks, I appreciate that.
I agree
I used to write computer documentation. While I generally haven't cared for video tutorials I found yours to be excellent. Well done!
Destroyed in battle population cubes go to the graveyard, not to the population track.
couldn't be explained better in 24 mins. great work. appreciated!!

I completely agree with Danny V. Subscribing to your channel based on this video alone. Thank you and well done!
Thanks!

Yep
@@reelwater7983 yes he should correct this.
Great quick-start, thank you!

This is an excellent explanation. Well done!
edifanobbonafide Thank you.
Excellent video!
Looks much better than what Dice Tower has said & better than my previous misconception of the upcoming second edition. Lol
Don't listen to Doce Tower. They just gripe about it because some silly sod said it was like TI4. Cry me a river. This game is awesome. Plus, the new version, whenever that will be, will bring down the house. Better than Ti4 imo.
Cheers, helped our game!
This video is amazing. Thanks.
Thanks, I'm glad it came in useful.

I like the starcraft sounding music lol
very good show how to play game, sub add.

I found it impossible to follow your voice with the background music playing.
I have both Eclipse and Twilight Imperium, and oh my god - I really don't know who wants to play Eclipse while TI exists. It's beyond my reasoning.
You are lucky if you have a group who wants to play either game! I think each game has advantages, and Eclipse has more of a "euro" feel.
i wish i have TI but its too expensive.
Leverquin sell your clothes, your kid's toys, grandma's TV, sell your furniture and wedding porcelain, it's WORTH IT
i have no kids, grandmas and wedding porcelain :( and i am nudist :/
Leverquin in that case find a job, like everybody else :D
I bought the 2nd edition and I'm supposed by how ugly the first edition looks.

You should make a game like that then
