Apparently it's a copyright issue. They can't name the shop 'Don Quixote' outside of Japan so international stores was rebranded as 'Donki' and the song was changed accordingly.

The store is named Don Don Donki in The US and Singapore due to trademark issues
When they first opened a first overseas outlet in Singapore, there is a name conflict since 'Don Quijote' is already in use in Singapore by a local restaurant (funnily a Spanish restaurant), so they changed to a more localised name that we known as 'Don Don Donki'. They have since adopted the Donki name into all the overseas outlets ever since, which is not a bad thing since it's easier to remember the name for non-Japanese people.
@@garfieldandfriends1 I don't want to be rude but it's like you ignore that don quijote is from Don Quixote, the famously spanish novel. So because it's famous, i dunno why it's not easy to remenber the name. Maybe people form where you are from don't know that and i'm biased because i'm european, it's totally possible. (you know it's the knight who fight again mill )
