Could you explain some it? I feel like this song is about the image the public has of her versus who she actually is. But there also seems to me something deeper she’s talking about, Maybe how it is to be a woman in the public eye?
@@rai2423 Definitely all of those, and all the layers of who she is/was. I was struck by a few impressions the first time I heard the song and watched the PV. It was like a commentary on her old self-proclaimed identity as a "shibuya-kei" artist, and losing that to what she became (which is a force all by itself) and even more so to her progression as a solo artist, and mother. There's just a lot in this piece that can be enjoyed on the surface and at a more profound level. That's all before the surface narrative of fighting a stand-in for a studio executive (which I'm sure many artists have dreamed of doing ^_^.) Of course some of this is my interpretation, but it's what I gleam from the vibes of the track and my now 20+ years of being a fan.
