I think intended design, to be distinct enough from other categories that expect you to play the "canon" route of the game, could only be applied consistently to games with published strategy guides

First time I fought Mollusque-Lanceur I didn't know that he took damage from the Gushen, I thought the Gushen was just meant to remove the lava. So I beat him by uncapturing and groundpounding him every time the lava disappeared. It was pretty easy so I thought it was intended. My sheer horror at his refight in the mushroom kingdom made me realize I was wrong. Since it took place in the sky, I had no idea how I was expected to groundpound his head and survive.

This is technically not fully intended since the "dive" move was expected for you to only use in moon and after. (not joking there is a sign in moon that tells you how to dive as if you were gonna play the whole game with no dives)

I like standard speedruns which include glitches and skips and all that, but I also enjoy glitchless runs. Playing the game as fast as possible without exploiting glitches is interesting to watch too.

The only time I've actually played Mario Odyssey I followed the arrows precisely like this. I also used Toad for like 90% of the moons.

For those who are wondering, 'A spice is a seed, fruit, root, bark, or other plant substance PRIMARILY USED FOR FLAVOURING or colouring food. Spices are distinguished from herbs, which are the leaves, flowers, or stems of plants used for flavoring or as a garnish.' Carrots are a root and they have flavour, but they're not used primarily as flavouring ingredients like spices and herbs. Pepper, garlic, and ginger are spices, garlic chives and parsley are herbs, salt is a mineral, and carrots are vegetables.
However carrot powder is indeed a spice.
You can include sliced or powdered carrot with the primary intent of flavouring or colouring food. It's a primary spice in carrot cake and carrot cake muffins along with cinnamon and nutmeg. They don't have chunks of carrot in them, so it definitely counts.
Anything can be the strongest flavour in a single dish, that doesn't make it a spice; by that logic literally every food could be a spice. The point is that herbs and spices are used in all dishes primarily for their ability to add flavour, not to bulk out the meal, add carbs, etc. Carrots are used for all sorts of things, so their primary use isn't adding a distinctive flavour, it's being a vegetable. Carrot powder is a spice though; as a product it's a powder made from a root that is used solely to add carrot flavour to things.

It's called no major glitches/glitchless. Because outside of glitches most stuff is intended, like using clever movement to get to the end of lake kingdom fast is totally intended, and plenty of other tech not used here is intended, generally proved by the fact it's not patched.

@@Halinn Intended and spelled out in glowing neon letters are not the same thing. The game doesn't directly tell you you can throw cappy mid-air even after bouncing on him to extend your airtime. Does that mean that's unintended? No, of course it's intended, it's just not spelled out.
Assist mode isn't "The way you are meant to play", assist mode is "This way is safe and easy and doesn't ask you to do more complex things you might not be capable of", meant for kids, people with low reaction times or motor issues, that kind of thing.

This was my favorite section of the whole video, where he talks about his medical experiences, popsicles, the power puff girls, and spices, and each topic nicely transitions into the next one. And while talking this entire time, he goes through some of seaside and all of luncheon and ruined. It might be stupid that this is my favorite part, but it is.

actually the game is expecting mario to not do any kind of movement until cappy or one of the signs tell you the movement so like the rolling move. The game is expecting you to not do the rolling move until Sand Kingdom where it tells and shows you how to do it
