  • Arthur M. Young, born in 1905, is the inventor of the Bell Helicopter. He is also founder of the Institute for the Study of Consciousness in Berkeley, California, and author of The Reflexive Universe and The Geometry of Meaning. Here he states that insights about angular relationships were very important in the development of the helicopter and led him to develop a model in which the measure formulae of physics are expressed in a manner isomorphic to the signs of the zodiac.
Thinking Allowed has recently completed the massive task of remastering and digitizing all 450 programs in our series, which aired on PBS stations across the U.S. from 1986 through 2002.
The new, hi-res programs will be made available in various ways yet to be determined. We begin this access process by making available all of the programs we made featuring Arthur M. Young, teacher and mentor to both Jeffrey Mishlove and to series co-producer/director Arthur Bloch.

I was really hoping this guy would help open my mind about astrology. Now I see that astrology is partly a language of spiritual significance that happens to be inspired by the stars. That and is seems I have to suspend my ideas about cause and effect (Earth shattering) My question is why does this bizarre esoteric science seem so natural to some people? Its not obvious at all!

      As above so below.
Things above (the stars) mirror things below. That’s why these connections are obvious to some people.

I got interested in astrology after looking up my birth chart. There are so many different factors like the house that a planet was in when you were born, if that planet has any conjunctions with other planets. If they are aspected by certain angles because your birth chart is drawn out similar to a clock and if you have a planet in the first house and one in the 4th house they would be squared to each other. Then you have the different phases of the moon, and 27 constellations that go around the 12 houses. Every single part of my chart told me very specific things about myself. Color hair, eyes, tendencies, and it all really blew my mind. There's a guy who works for the country of India and he has looked at over at thousands and thousands of birth charts in his life, but he also would get the parents information and he said that a couple can't even conceive a child unless conditions are right astrologicaly. I started to look up my family members and it's just amazing how accurate it is. The Indian charts go into more depths I believe, and also use what is called a sidereal system which use the stars as they are in the sky, while the western version which is also called the Tropical system tells us our birth sign as it was 2000 years ago. In the Tropical system I'm a Virgo, but because we're always moving through space in the Sidereal system I'm a Leo. I just found this all out mostly in the past 2 years. It is very useful to use it like a tool and see if rough times could be ahead in a certain part of your life. Then you could put a little extra attention into that area. Some people read there horoscopes everyday and can become depressed over things that may never even happen. I'm sure that Mr. Arthur Young noticed this earlier in life and that is one reason why he is so knowledgeable about it, but he seems to be knowledgeable about everything. I love listening to him talk. Have a good day.
