Very interesting, tried the plugin from Wordpress Performance Team but not feel that somehting is faster on load. Not blinking like yours :/

Have you checked if the Speculation Rules are being triggered in the browser? You can check this in Chrome DevTools under the 'Application' tab to see if pages are preloading. If it's still slow even after loading from cache, feel free to post it in our community-we'd be happy to help!
